MTN USERS: What is your next data plan option? || Here is My Option!

This week, MTN removed their most popular data plan, the digital bundle 15GB plan that only cost 2000 naira. This change came as a shocking surprise to a lot of Nigerians using MTN, as it has been the most affordable data plan option.

Now the question here is, what data plan will you go for?

Here is my option!

Luckily for me, I am part of the individuals that subscribe to the yearly plan of 100,000 naira for 1 Tb of data, which I use for the space of 3 months, or 4 months max if I don't consume a lot of data. And for me, this data is the best data plan for me as compared to getting them in small units.

What makes mine better?

The major difference in getting the data in small units and bulk is that you pay more in the long run when you buy it in small units. Let us take getting 1 TB in chunks of 15 GB for 2000 naira each. That will approximately be a total of 136,500 naira spent to get data worth 1 TB, but yet, I get that same plan for 100,000 naira.

And at the end of the year, the number of times a 15GB subscriber buys data as compared to the number of times I spend on data in a year will be far more than how much I spend on my 1 TB data.

This is why I always make sure to plan myself and save money for my subscription plan ahead of time so it would not be difficult getting the data when it finishes.

Another perks of subscribing in large quantity is that you don't have to worry about when your subscription will finish all the time. I can go through a month without having to worry and think about my data finishing anytime soon.

How I earn passive income from it

I also use my data to make money as well. I sell part of my data to my friends as cheap as 5 GB for 1000 naira, although soon I will be increasing the price to 1300 naira.

MTN noticed my frequent transfer of data monthly, so they limited my data transfer to 10 times a month. This means I cannot sell as much data as I want in a month any longer. But it is fine!

Back to the question: what data plan are you doing at the moment?

Thanks for sharing 😊

It's quite more favorable to buy things in bulk not only data but every other thing we use on a daily basis. I get value for my money when I buy food items in bulk than when I get in bits. For instance, when you buy rice in let's say a full bag or half bag, it pays you more than buying in 'mudu'.

Back to your question, i use glo data subscription and I opt for the 3k for 14gig (30 days validity period).

yeah that is very true about food items too. I hope to make enough money to start getting them too in bulk.

the 14gb data you subscribe, do you completely use it in a month or you finish it before then, let's say like in 3 weeks.

Sadly, It takes about two weeks and some days. It doesn't last for the whole 30 days.

Buying things in bulk always saves a lot than buying in bits.... 100k is a lot to spend once on data for the year although it's not too much.
It's the wisest but for someone like me who has limited resources, that 100k plan is huge!!!!

true, 100k is a lot to spend for me too. I know how I needed to fight myself in order to do this. But now, it is just about planning yourself and saving ahead for it regardless of the emergencies that comes your way.

Yh that's true, at least you would've behave to worry about data for the whole year, at least for me 😅

Odogwu silencer. 100k for 1 Terabyte and you finish it within the space of 3 months. Wao. Isn't that amazing 😆😆

You have come to whine me. abeg shift.

😁😆😆😆😆 you like vawulence too much. It's not a good thing for a man like you.

So the number of data transfer got limited for no reason. This our father land ehnnn

Wow this is so surprising to me! I didn't actually know you could sell your data even after buying it. But I guess it's not possible for us here in Cameroon, cause I've never heard of it.
The highest part that shocks me here the most is the amount of your data purchase! 2000 naira is about 827 FCFA here in Cameroon. But you use 2000 naira to purchase 15GB there, while we use 2000 FCFA here to purchase about 5GB MTN Data.
Bro I feel like relocating to Nigeria 😂
Your 1TB bundle too is crazy good 💯
