Nowadays we have different dating app with a vast pool, different individuals around the globe willing and hope to connect with people irrespective of their location, I will just say everyone have their agenda and reason why they are on it, one thing pros is that it really increase opportunities and also accessibilities, you don't have to be everywhere physically before connecting, I can't count the numbers of people I have meet online, I got to know connect, converse and even share different online opportunities among ourselves. I really love how Convenience it is unlike the traditional way, you both don't really need to know each other at first, just pop in to their dm and pray they have patience without blocking you at first trial, technology made it easy to the extent that with just one swipe and with little time, you get to know if building that friendship will really worth it or not, is not old days when you need to use certain days or month to chase someone, still use certain month to building the friendship foundation and at the end it won't worth it.
The interested part is the Safety that comes with it, nowadays we are all security conscious, meeting someone you don't know anything about isn't safe, we don't know who is who and tech make it way easier to meet anyone one online without meeting them in person, I have people have know for years and we are yet to meet in person, everything is strictly online, nowadays we have seen news of people who met online and eventually decide to meet in person, only for one thing to go wrong or one party have hidden agenda toward the other person. With how good tech have make things easy for everyone, some group of people have turn it into another thing and one of them is the hookup culture, gone were the days when dating platform like badoo, tinder or bumble were platform based solely on connections, meeting people with like goals but nowadays, it is use for something else and things totally change the whole agenda of having a dating platform.
It is really rare to meet someone without hookup agenda on this platform, it reach the extend that most of the guys now think all girls on dating platform are into hookup, and the girls thought the guys are just there to flirt or to do the do, such misrepresentation and really bring drawback to this platform. The worst part is about the ones using such platform for their scamming work, you get to chat someone thinking the person is a lady and before you know it, another guy is behind the account, chatting you like a lady, and if you fall to their trick, you won't really realize what hit you. Technology have really change the whole dating experience, on the positive side, giving use the platform to meet and connect with each other, it really make online relationship especially more easier to engage in.

Yeah, I think Tech allow you connect and meet new people from all over the place. Without doing too much. As much as technology has it negative. I think the positive is larger. It mostly depends on what a person is looking for.
