When talking about my personality as an individual, I guess a lot of people around me already know I'm an introvert, and by that I mean I'm an indoor person. It's not like I entirely despise outdoor activities, but I just enjoy being indoors more; the peace, comfort, and several other things are just some of the reasons why I prefer this to being outdoors, and today I'll walk you through my favorite reason for being indoors.
Just about two weeks ago, I was watching a video from one of Nigeria's skit makers and comedians, Twyse, who used his space to talk about different traits of an introvert. He, being one, highlighted several points and takes that I totally agree with and can resonate with because I myself just act like that without any significant reason why. To start with, why do I enjoy being indoors?
Well, responding to this, I'll just say it's because of my love for being by myself, in a place with less noise and distraction; being outdoors for someone like me is usually a pain in the ass, as I've got to deal with numerous distractions, noise, and people, which isn't something I love. Of course, I love being around my friends and loved ones, but then beyond everything, I just enjoy being in my own space more.
The comfort, peace, and ability to think of so many things without any form of distraction is a luxury I don't want to trade for any other thing, and that's why I love being indoors. There are times that I'm just outdoors and feel uncomfortable about my current location; I won't even be able to think straight, and sometimes if I can't just go home yet, you'll find me leaving such a room for a more serene place to be comfortable again.
And talking about my favorite indoor activities, I've got many of them I indulge in and can delve into, which are playing games. I'm a big fan of video games, and being indoors grants me the opportunity to play them at the comfort of my house. I understand some of these games are more interesting when played with someone else, but then I'd rather have a close friend come over to play with me than play it outdoors, except there's something I stand to benefit from playing outdoors, then I won't be there.
Other such activities include board games such as ludo and monopoly. I'm a big fan of both, and even though I don't want to hype myself, I'll say I'm a great player when it comes to ludo. I enjoy it and mostly find a way to win against most of those I face, making it one of the enjoyable activities that get me entertained while indoors, without missing what's going on outdoors.
Also, sometimes what I'm doing indoors could be as simple as reading a book; take, for example, for the past three weeks I've been reading an interesting novel, but each time I try to read it outdoors, I'm just distracted by one activity or someone, and given my curiosity to find out what will play out in the novel, I can't help but rush home at the slightest opportunity so I can go back to reading and enjoying all the intriguing tale of the novel.
I'm used to being indoors, and I'm not ashamed of that fact; I'm proud of it, and I feel like it's a good trait that'll give me an opportunity to bond well with my family and loved ones, although outdoor activities can be exciting too, but I'd rather have a few of such occasions than regularly, given my introverted nature of preferring the comfort of my home.

First thing about being outdoor is dealing with people and 95% of the time, we can't do anything about it. Distraction is one big disadvantage of being outdoor.
I love indoor more than out door . I'd say 70 to 30. I play ludo too, but not so great at it.
You're in the spirit my brother, indoor is just a safe haven.
Lol where did you root out Femi's skit from?? Being a while 😂
Since when did he start bearing femi again?
Well I no even know him real name.
His name is Femi now abi is the skit name sef
See this woman, his stage name is Twyse, I no know where you see Femi o.
Oh yeah Twyse 😑
I think one of the common traits I have found among indoor folks is our dislike for noise and distractions. People that enjoy being outdoors will never understand the value of peace that comes with staying indoors. I'm also a lover of board games but more like Draft, chess and monopoly.
Isn't that grand theft auto, I can't really tell which version this is but God knows I used to love playing that video game but eventually I devoted more time to writing and work life.
That's just it my brother, that peace is just something we've come to love and always sort after when not in our safe zone.
Yes it's Grant theft San Andreas, quit an intriguing game.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
The peace and silence being indoor brings is indeed a luxury!
Absolutely, it's everything.
I love the fact that you talk about being yourself, and I think it's necessary to note that you're in a space where you'll receive zero judgement and you can just be you. Nicely said, Sir.🌺
Yea it's a good great thing to be one self, thanks for your kind words.
