Yes, breathing might help, but when faced with panic, I have coached people into different, much more generative methods to have fast results, such as anchoring, calibration, where breathing is included as part of calibration itself, part of it.In NLP we work with different fast tools which can be applied in various situations. While facing my huge fear to deepdive years ago, breathing wasn't a solution while was under water.
