Because you have free will.
You do not see what you do not believe.
I have had many people, at the beginning of the journey, including me, not be able to see. And at the end of the journey they see much more.
One particular thing that you probably know about is auras. Do you see auras around people?
There is a lot more of our world that is even stranger than auras.
And no, you do not get to see auras by saying, "Ok, i now believe in auras." (although for some it might work) You usually have to train your eyes to focus where they would not normally focus, and training your brain to accept inputs from your 3rd eye, and then a learning to focus, and controlling the layers you see.
That's irrelevant. I do believe what I see. Belief informs perception, but I reckon I have often enough changed my mind based on new information to say the opposite as well, that my perception informs my belief.
I probably should do an EcoTrain post on Belief.
Most people, i included, have used it wrong.
There is so much that is filtered out so that we can live lives of normal humans.
We don't see echos of the past/future. usually. Many of the deja vu, are such.
We don't generally see angels, demons, fay, the dead (not ghosts), fairies, elves… but they are all there.
But, sometimes you catch them out of the corner of your eye. And then your life changes.
Did you ever spot a hidebehind? Dad told me about them when I was a kid. They only appear in the corner of your eye, and as soon as you turn to look at them they hide behind something, so you never ever get a good look at them.
You should add them to your pantheon, because they fit right in.
I know people who see those i listed.
A hidebehind sounds like a generic name, and i do not really like it, because they don't hide behind anything. You just don't see them when you look right at them. But it does give an explanation to the glimpses into other realities that happen to people.
Do you know any schizos that hallucinate and rave madness?
Yep, i know those too.
