RE: Convenience store clerk beats customer nearly to death over taking too much nacho cheese

I don't get it how some people get triggered over mundane stuff and then when there is serious stuff happening people do nothing. I see stuff that I know I would react to if I saw it happening and concerned others act like whatever it was never happened. I was working behind a bar when I saw a lady get punched by her husband and flattened him. That triggered me and I will do it again but worryingly no one else reacted.

Sort:

there are tons of videos out there about how the public has become apathetic to those around them and they stage domestic violence incidents and mostly the public just gets out of the way and lets it happen. There are a lot of reasons why people are afraid to get involved these days but I think that most people aren't interested in being good Samaritans anymore.

I also think there is a tremendous amount of mental illness in people that is perpetuated by worsening living conditions and of course, social media.
