China furious over Biden's action
Washington. The US has shot down a Chinese spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina. Till now this Chinese balloon was flying over American land. As it moved towards the sea, it was shot down by American fighter aircraft seeing little danger. The suspicious balloon had entered US airspace a week ago.
The US expressed concern over it by calling it a spy balloon, while China tried to normalize the atmosphere by calling it a balloon collecting general meteorological information. Due to this balloon, the relations between America and China had become very bad. President Joe Biden said that he had ordered the balloon to be shot down on Wednesday itself. But, then the US Defense Ministry Pentagon recommended waiting till it goes over the sea. Its main objective was to save the common people from the debris falling from the shoot down. Biden said that he successfully shot it down, and I want to congratulate our aviators who did it.
A senior US military official said that the mission that shot down the Chinese balloon involved several US Air Force fighters and refuellers. aircraft were involved. But, it was shot down at 2.39 pm by an F-22 Raptor fighter jet flying from Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. For this an AIM-9X supersonic heat seeking missile was used. US officials said the balloon was brought down in relatively shallow water about six nautical miles off the US coast in the Atlantic Ocean.
He told that in the coming days, pieces of Chinese surveillance equipment will be found and analyzed. A US military official said debris from the Chinese balloon was spread seven miles into the sea. Several US military ships are already stationed at the site for its exploration.
China has strongly condemned the US attack on its balloon. China claims that it was used for meteorological and other scientific purposes. China claimed that it accidentally strayed into US airspace. However, US officials rejected China's claim. The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement that China had categorically asked the US to properly handle it in a calm, professional and restrained manner. But America insisted on the use of force.
