If you seen the blog sites on the local news stations they immediately start accusing people of inciting fear if they try to point out to people why this isn't comparable to influenza. People on there saying eighty thousand people die of the flu each yeah yet crickets. I don't even think they realize that people at least have a choice in optimizing their chances against the flu by getting a vaccine. After reading through the comments last night and watching what is unfolding from our state and federal governments I am totally convinced by the number of comments attacking people for spreading fear are actually people at the news station taking talking points of pushing facts not fear. That's our whole state motto right now. Facts not fear. I wrote a rebuke to them last night that standing up on the news and continually reinforcing to people that with people who are healthy they will suffer nothing more than common cold like symptoms if they contact the virus is the same as if they were saying "eighty percent of you will come through it just fine, for the other twenty percent of you good luck". Their repetitive reassurances to eighty percent of the population IS fear mongering to the other twenty percent. I told them to think about what you are saying in relative to a population of 329,968,725 people, that 65,993,725 people will suffer sever illness and/or death. This continual push that people don't need mask?....well they had a health expert on Fox News saying advising people to wear mask creates panic among the public. They even lied and said the number of people being infected in China has dropped below 800. That's an outright lie as I've been tracking it for a month now. Anyone can go to the tracking site and at the lower right hand corner of the screen there's a bar graph in regards to China, click on the end and today it's stands at 1.5 thousand, up over five hundred since 2/26 when I last wrote down the stats. I fully understand not wanting to spread fear but at least get enough mask out there for the twenty percent at risk group if they want them. The teacher who got it at some school out west they said the school will be closed until the third for disinfection then all students will return. It's like they are promoting a "return things to a normalcy mode as soon as possible"....they can disinfect the school all they want but if the teacher passed it to anyone they'll just return to school and reinfect it. I hope they get this thing under control, hearing in that video that the virus doesn't live in environments above 56 degrees is encouraging as the weathermen are forecasting an early spring here. Personally I think they've done something with the water, upped the chlorine level. I usually only have to clean my aquarium once every six months, (that six month clean was about a month prior to my recent change) because I was unable to control cloudiness, the usual solution I use wasn't working, I tried a few others to no avail, even if I went and changed 2/3's of the water the cloud was about the same. I decided to do anther tear down and clean, the cloud was still there but not quite as bad after using chlorine removers, and I'll be dang if I didn't add two gallons of water yesterday (as the levels drop due to dissipation) and it created the cloud. I am totally convinced they upped the chlorine levels, whether to protect the water supplies or as a measure to help in disinfection of surfaces in homes.
I agree with your sentiments here completely.
I believe if you check, you will find that Best Korea used the metric system, and that is not 56 degrees Fahrenheit, but 56 degrees Celsius, which is far hotter than any habitable place on Earth ever reaches.
The video does repeatedly point out that both alcohol and bleach kill the virus on surfaces, and that does seem to have been a common mechanism of transmission so far. I have a spray bottle of bleach solution I will be using hereafter to spray any public surfaces I need to touch.
Thanks!
Why would they mention it if it wasn't attainable to begin with? Lucylin mentioned the other day when I made a comment about it reaching countries where sanitation is lacking that those countries are warmer climates that virus don't care as much for....if you look it's those countries who have some of the lowest counts that are staying pretty consistent.
I know I shared information from your ROR, rate of transmission post on our local news blog that if one's community should get the virus carrying around some sanitizing wipes in a plastic bag to disinfect surfaces in public places before touching them would go a long way in bringing down the ROR rate.
It is attainable, just not from weather. If you heat your cutlery and dishes to that temperature, you will kill all virus on them.
Yeah I went back and watched it gain, the C was hidden by some texts on the screen.
Tonight they are trying to tell people not to panic because now people are figuring out that two deaths to sixty people is concerning, they are really pushing this if you are healthy you don't need to worry....but you and I both know that's bull crap and that no children have died. I remember reading one of the two infants that got it did die but I can't find a main stream article that pulls that up....do you have any resource articles to the infants death and/or any stats on children?
I do not have any information regarding children, other than vague statements. I note that most information available is highly censored, and generally propaganda.
