RE: The Hive Whitepaper and updating the DPoS protocols for downvoting with a community proposal.

I completely agree, I have my opinions others have theirs it doesn't mean any of us are 'right', is there even such a thing as right, but just different perspectives. A lot of people seem unable to see other peoples perspectives and have a healthy discussion about them, I mean we could all be better at that for sure, me too, but probably if opinions are too different its best to just maybe not interact with that person. My relationship with my partner is super harmonious because on most core things we think the same and the things we don't we just accept about the other person without trying to change one another. If we were too different in opinion on huge core issues then it would be a pretty sad and toxic connection. There is nothing wrong with just accepting some people are too different in mindset to connect with, that doesn't make you or them right or wrong. It doesn't mean you have to 'punish' them, I have seen people getting taken to zero just because they believe the earth is flat, I mean so what?! lol

Yeah creates a very unhealthy environment when the comment section is not utilized but rather downvotes more so than not in lieu of discussing grievances with the content that may prevent downvotes.

I like the thread with @pfunk and I here and think there is another solution involving @hivewatchers dao, maybe @patrice and pfunk working together or just pfunk to produce a document outlining this issues and being able to act as community collectively in a more healthy way.

I personally would like to open a dialogue with hive watchers, they do serve a very useful purpose but sometimes they just take it too far. I have been flagged multiple times and rather than being asked to present myself and show that it is my work, which I am very happy to do since everything I post is my own. Rather than be asked nicely I have had 3 occasions now where I have just been blacklisted and told I am plagiarising and all my comments posts etc go to 0 til I sort it out. I think there is a nicer way of asking people to present themselves and verify who they are. I had it done to me 3 times as they lost the list. Now I know they are busy etc but it is quite triggering to log in one day and be told you have been black listed for plagiarism and blocked from using the site when you have not. I feel it would be so much nicer for it to say, hi we would just like you to come and confirm who you are and present yourself etc. I have also seen some experiences from others that it was just a bit too harsh on new people trying to learn the ropes and find their feet. Having said that I think it is great they help fight plagiarism and abuse I just think there could be a discussion there about it from my own personal experience as an artist and a photographer.
