The media manipulates the public with news. So, the best defense is to study history.

Of course things get shaky. Anyone who studies history will find that Conservatives play the exact same game as the Progressives. The left and right simply mirror each other.

I agree, any person in a political position of power and/or influence is guilty of using the Memory Hole. It's an unspoken agreement between media and politicians, regardless of ideology, to manipulate those who consume their messages.
