Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals#saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. Let’s start with my Hive goals.

Hive & HBD

My current goal is 60k Hive.

Last week I made 170.01, bringing me to 45471.56 total Hive Power. That’s 75.8% of my goal!

Math time. 60k - 45471.56 gives us 14528.44. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 47.8 Hive needed per day to reach 60k by that point. Ouch… you can see that’s more than double what I made this week. Not only that, but last week it was 47.3, so you can see I’m losing ground again. Oh well, it’s only March, eh? I still have 9 months to catch up!

I’m still sitting on some more HIVE that I could power up. I really don’t think Hive is going to go up very high here. BTC and everything pumped a few hours ago because of Trump’s tweet about a national BTC and ETH reserve. He already made that promise a while ago, but I guess by now pretty much everyone is aware that a promise from Trump means nothing and might change the next day, so I guess the tweet gave people a little hope that he really might keep this promise this time. Is that good or bad that the market can pump so easily?

Question is, does the market stay up? Well, we will see. I’m not sure if a pump based on wishful thinking qualifies as a recovery, but I guess we’ll find out! I kind of think this kind of pump will wear off quickly and we will fall back down, but I certainly wouldn’t complain if it stays up this time. Let’s hope!

Once again, I’ve met all my goals here. I haven’t really identified anything else I’m ready to ape into. In fact, I’m still considering moving some of my H-E money out of H-E and into either BTC directly or even something a bit safer like Berkshire stock. I know that’s not sexy, but my personal portofolio is way too unbalanced towards crypto, so it probably would be healthier to move more into safer bets.

Not that the US stock market is safe. It is in a bubble and could pop at any time. But at the same time, I feel safer owning Berkshire than just about anything else in the market.

Well, the market didn’t hold up nearly as well as we were hoping it would do last week. Oh well. It still didn’t do too bad. Let’s hope things improve later today when the US market opens!

What’s funny about coming across this on the APMEX sales page is that during these past two weeks, my youngest son has started asking to watch old Pink Panther episodes every night before bed. I don’t know how he learned about the cartoon. They don’t play it anymore these days (I don’t think?) and I’ve never seen it in Japan, but here we are. Maybe he saw it on a sticker or something. Japanese teachers love using stickers for everything so he always has tons of them when he comes home from school. Whatever the case may be, at his prompting we’ve been watching episodes of the original cartoon ever night. They aren’t nearly as good as I remember them being, and how the episodes recycle both animation and music really jumps out, but at the same time they have their moments, and it’s fun watching him enjoy them.
