Anger can be seen as a strong feeling of annoyance or being upset about one thing or the other. No matter how cool someone may be, there are times when we will get angry, but the things that we do whenever we are angry, says a lot about us, and this is one of the important reasons why we have to manage our anger or practice something we call anger management.
I have seen instances where people get angry and eventually get into a fight with the opponent which cost the life of the other person. Anger destroys things so much and even the things we say when we are angry matters a lot. This is why I sometimes advise people to walk away whenever they are angry so that they are not going to try something funny.
Since anger management is important. How do we go about ot?
My ways of anger management
• Things are not worth it. This is one thing I say to myself almost all the time. No matter how bad it is, I always tell myself that it isn’t worth it. Anything that gets me angry isn’t worth it.
• Walking away. To be very honest, I’m that kind of person who acts funny when I’m angry but after my first time of walking away, I realized that was the best thing to do instead of destroying things with my mouth or body.
• Looking into the matter. I always try to understand people from their perspective. This means that I am not a stingy person so I give listening ears to others and in this way, it helps to cool my mind down. Once I’m the calm person, the rate at which I get angry reduces.
• I listen to the song I love most. When I’m angry, doing something I love most helps to cool my anger and that’s what I do. I love to listen to music and at that time, it has to be the song that I love most.
One important thing to know is that anger takes us nowhere. A lot of people get angry and they destroy a lot of things and when they become calm, they will start to regret what they have done and how they have ruined the things that the built up for years.
Anger destroys, practice the use of anger management today.
