Hello amazing people of the @Scifi-Multiverse community. I am pleased to finally drop my submission for the weekly prompt with the topic: Science of Power Supply. I see this as interesting topic to talk about because it’s a challenging topic that pushed me to ask a lot of questions and also make more research as regards to the power supply I use on a daily bases of which I do not understand how it was generated or distributed to the final consumers. Nevertheless, I’m glad to say that I’ve acquire some basic knowledge as a result of this prompt.

So, in my submission for the topic of the week I will practically demonstrate how the solar panel output is been calculated mathematically. Ie I will be explaining the mathematical approach that best solve the problem of power output based on efficiency.

Now, solving the problem at hand, the first thing I did was to identify which mathematical formula that can solve the problem, which I figured out to the power output formula based on efficiency. Having that sorted, the next thing to do is to bring out the available data in the question, of which we have the efficiency to be 18%, Solar radiation to be 1000W/M and the surface area to be 10M2.

Therefore, for us to successfully obtain the value of the power output, we need to find the value for the power input which we do not have in the question. So for that to be possible we have to substitute the value of the solar radiant and surface area into the power input formula (Pinput = Solar radiant X Surface area) which we have it to be 10,000W

Furthermore, I proceeded to find the value for the total output required of us to obtain from the question. For us to achieve that we have to multiply the value of the power input which we’ve obtained to be 10,000W with the efficiency given to us from the question to be 18%. The final result will then be given as 1800W or 1.8KW which happened to be the total power the solar panel generated at efficiency of 18%.
