Electricity is a form of enery. That energy which drives light into our homes and by that, we can pump water, charge our phones, iron our clothes and do all other necessary things in life.
Have you ever noticed that so many necessary things in life now requires electricity? It’s very important to humans and that’s why we’ve gotten so used to technology that we make use of it in our everyday lives.
Are there problems with our power supply and how does it work in my current location
There are problems with the power supply in my current location. A normal human being should deserve twenty four hours electricity but it’s something else here. We barely have seven hours electricity daily. Also, the national grid here in Nigeria is very bad. Many times, the national grid collapses and we may not have electricity for days just like what we are going through now.
So, the power supply is not stable and so unfair on our side.
Do you use prepaid meter or Solar panels or you get electricity directly?
Let me start with the solar panel. I wish to get one but it’s very expensive and that’s why I cannot afford it. I only have a solar fan which I use whenever it is hot.
Also, I make use of prepaid meter. That’s because I will be paying for the exact light I use.
Also, there will be no cheating but if I was using direct electricity, I will be paying for more light than I use so using the prepaid meter is better.
Do you have steady power supply? or is it rationed
There is no form of steady power supply here. We barely have power supply and I can’t even give an appropriate time to how we usually have electricity.
I hope things get better and with the look of things, this is not what we citizens can do. We need the intervention of the government.
I know our power supply will still get better with time and I hope to witness such great moment.
I wonder when power supply problems will be resolved in Nigeria. Like you said, a lot of things we do requires constant power supply. So if the supply is not constant it will affect people's lives badly. Thanks for writing.
