Good day, amazing people of the Hive blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. This is another day in the #inleomonthlyprompt. I’m so happy to be participating in this prompt topic. Have you had a friend or partner change its behaviour so much you had to leave?
Change the saying: It is constant. Once you are in a relationship, you should be expecting people to change, of course. It takes trust and love to build up a relationship. As a human, you can change at any time. It is always painful to see someone you have built up a relationship with acting strange and turning to something different most times. It really pains me when someone I love and cherish so much starts misbehaving; it always makes me feel bad.
One thing about me is if my friend starts behaving somehow, I will try my best to tolerate it. I will go as far as trying to adapt to her new behaviour, but once it comes to the stage I can’t tolerate, I will leave that friend because of my mental health. If there is something I value so much, it is a relationship, especially a relationship that I share memories with.
I will be sharing my experience of why I have to leave my partner, Kelvin. He was a caring man; he never allowed me to lack anything. Back then in school, he supported me financially, and he encouraged me. He believed in me more than I believed in myself.
Kelvin was all I could ask God for in a man. Our families got to know about each other, and this made our relationship stronger. At a point, Kelvin started changing; he started shouting over any little mistake I made. This is someone who corrects me with love. My partner turned into a nagging boyfriend. At a point, I no longer had peace of mind. I tried my best to tolerate his new behaviour day by day. Things kept getting worse. I called him on several occasions to know if I did anything wrong.
I try my best to tolerate kelvin because he was someone that i really love but i have to leave him because of my mental health it was really affecting my mental health one lovely partner turn to a monster. I so much hate staying in a toxic relationship; I have to walk away.
My relationship with Kelvin was really amazing. He really supported me. I tried my best to keep the relationship going. The only thing was I lacked peace of mind. Kelvin deprived me of my peace of mind.
Change is constant; humans can change at any second. I am no longer surprised when I see people change; if I can’t tolerate their new behaviour, I will walk out. I understand it is good for us to change; we should try to always change positively and not negatively.
This is my entry on the ongoing #inleomonthly topic. Have you had a friend or partner change its behaviour so much you had to leave? Day 20
