My Eating Habits

If there is something I really understand early in life, it is the fact that food is life. When it comes to the topic of survival, food is something that must not be joked with because it has a way of fostering our survival as human beings. I personally, I am someone that did not joke with my food schedule because I know fully well that in the country I came from Nigeria, it is beyond the food.

In different culture in Nigeria, we see food because just the food we eat for our personal health.fokd is actually seen as a way of life. Food is seen as a way of fostering unity and hospitality. Coming to the aspect of my eating habits, I will say my own personal habits have been shaped in recent years due to lots of reasons and factors.

There are a lot of factors like cultural factors, parental factors and generally my individual factors that have shaped my eating habits in recent years. For some people, they tend to give more attention to quantity instead of quality when it comes to food. I personally, I prefer quality most of the time than quantity. I strongly believe that food have a long way to go to affect my mood and so I hardly joke with what I eat. Decades ago, I am a lover of junks but right now, I have did away with it.

I understand the importance that lies in eating good food that are nutritious. Every food I am eating, I make sure it is well prepared and contained balanced diet. But of course not every time I focus on the quality. There are actually instances whereby I have no choice but to focus on quantities. But that is not all, coming to talk about my eating schedule, based on my working schedule, I rarely followed a rigid eating schedule

I eat when food is available but I always make sure that I didn't eat late. Eating late is not actually part of my schedule. But as Nigerian I am who hardly knows what the world will offer to you next time, I make sure that I eat whenever I have the opportunity to. Of course I eat three times in a day. Morning which is for my breakfast, afternoon which is for my lunch and then evening which is for my dinner. I make sure that I always follow this routine closely. But there are days probably based on my working schedule, I will miss my afternoon food.

Also most of the time, I always make sure I eat when I am hungry most of the time. Due to my working schedule and the fact that food might not always be available for me, it is rare for me to have a scheduled meals. Anytime I am feeling hungry, I make sure that I find something's to put into my belly. It is very necessary. But no matter how hungry and desperate I might be sometimes to eat some food, I make sure that I didn't eat junk food and I stop taking in carbonated drinks because they are hazardous to me. I make sure I consume more of fruit and fruit juices. All these things are what I pay attention to and sum up my positive eating habits.
