One of the things that I have come to discover in this life is the fact that there are something's we can not avoid. There are some circumstances and situations that no matter how much we try, we can not actually avoid them because they are part of life. One of it is stress. No matter how much you live your life, you can not escape facing stress at the point of your life. This can be as a result of several factors like Academics, education, health, finances and many more.
There have been a popular misconception about stress not good for us. But can I say that is not true. There are moderate level of stress that can actually give us lot of motivation and vision for us to be productive. The type of stress I believe everyone should run from is the chronic stress. This particular type of stress can lead to health issues and in fact leads to death.
There have always been several discussions about how to manage stress. But the truth is you will find it hard to manage something that you did not even understand how it works. Stress as little as it might seems goes a long way to affect our decision making positively or negatively depending on how it comes. It has been medically proven that most of the time when we are stressed out, our brain lacks the efficiency to make good decision.
Most of the time, when we are under stress, there is high probability for us to make decisions under emotions and trust me from my little experience, making decisions under emotions is not always productive. Take for example if you are stressed out, you might not be able to make good and strategic financial decisions. Instead you will just be focused on the now decisions and that is driven by emotions. This is dangerous most of the time.
One of the ways for you to manage stress is for you to have a self control. Self control will help narrow down the effects of stress on you. Like I said earlier, when you are under stress, there is a probably that you will begin to make some rational decisions. This is where self control comes in. Self control will help you to know which decisions to make and which decisions not to make. It is very crucial.
There are some strategies you can actually put in place which I believe can help you to manage stress or better still help you to manage your decision making when you are under stress. The first is for you to constantly practice meditation. I have tried it several times and I must confess that it actually works like magic. You should also make sure youake choices that are healthy for you. Like I said earlier, your health is tied to stress most of the time and vice versa and that is why you must constantly make sure you stay healthy.
