It amuses me most times when I hear people mention travelling as a hobby. Maybe this was because most of my experiences with journeys were not palatable ones. This tend to put me in a state where I try to consider what appeals in travelling that makes it to the list of someone's hobby. I got to realise that beyond the nature of journey; being stressful and with whack vehicles, some personal conditions have made it so.

As a result, I find it hard to travel. Some reasons because I don't really have much places to travel to. And maybe until it's necessary, if not I don't travel. Nevertheless, I'm one who likes to explore and get a view of new sights. So, when necessary, and as much as possible, I take such journeys.
I've had quite a handful of experiences with vehicles while travelling. The good experiences are a few I'll say. This due to the fact that I don't fancy traveling as a hobby, and many times I did travel, the experience were not that good. The nature of vehicles is enough to make one develop an unlikely attitude towards travelling. The rickety vehicles are much of a pain that the joy for that journey seems to disappear.
The best experience I can recall with vehicles while travelling was one I had during my days in school. It was a white well looking and organised bus. The process of boarding it was even seamless. I felt much comfortable in the vehicle that I would have dozed off. But sitting in the front besides the driver, it wouldn't be a good option. Plus, what if he passes where I'm supposed to alight - chuckles.
I had one of the best travelling experiences. Due to the level of comfort with the vehicle and the seamless nature of the journey, I could hardly agree that I was having that journey in a place like mine. It was a travelling experience I can recall as the best; thank God for a smooth vehicle.

While my good travelling experiences with vehicles might seem limited, I think I can write a thesis on the bad experiences. In agreement with the topic, I recognise that most of these experiences stem from the poor nature of transportation; kudos to the vehicles. Beyond my displeasure of travelling due to personal considerations, I feel that these factors largely play a part.
What I would tag as my worst transportation experience with a vehicle was one I had recently; last year. The trouble all started from the difficulty to get vehicles to board. I left lodge at a time convenient enough to get me through a four hours journey at most, and eventually arrive at my destination while the sun might be setting. Little did I know there was a lack of vehicles problem.
It wasn't like there were no vehicles, the vehicles were all mostly on different routes except mine on that particular day. After waiting for hours, whilst already dark, one arrived. This vehicle I wouldn't dare to enter even if I might be paid to. But on a day like this, "the available becomes the desirable". I joined the company of other exhausted passengers to rush the vehicle.
It was a rickety looking vehicle. Funny thing was that we were boarded into the car - without seats. I guess it was for the sole purpose of carrying few passengers in the front with goods at the back. On a day as this, one that I really needed to make that journey, what choice do I have? It was terrible for my legs through the journey. I felt blood not flowing well enough through my legs due to the seating posture. If only I could sleep my way through the journey, huh! How can it be in such a state?
The journey continued like that. I can't recall when last I wished to see myself reach my destination during a journey than this. That wish was just a wish because the car moved at a pace, I felt I could outrun it. If there was an opportunity to become "the flash" that day, trust me I would have taken that with little regards for any effect. Well, I did reach my destination successfully but maybe without my legs I guess - chuckles.

The available must actually be the desirable except you want to spend the night by the road side😅
Your experience was funny and heart touching at the same time.
Thank God you finally got to your destination safe. Thanks for sharing...
Seriously, it must become the available oo 😄. I resolved I wasn't sleeping in that town and it was late to go back.
Yeah, that's what matters most.
Thank you for reading.
Lol,
You're welcome
