There’s a particular street I love passing through in my neighborhood, its not the fastest route to my home, but I just love passing there, and there's no other reason for that than just because of a particular house.
The very first time I saw it, I loved it. It wasn’t the big or the most extravagant house on the street, but it had something peculiar that made it stand out, and it was its simpleness, the house was simple yet it stood out, most people do go there, to the front gate or by the fence of the house to take pictures, the paints and all were just too beautiful. The house was a white duplex, it had some glasses that reflect the sun tall, the compound was spacious, with neatly trimmed lawn and a small garden. The fence was not tall, you could see the inside if the building by just standing some few steps close to the fence. The gate was black and looked modern, everything about the house was simple but t it spoke of luxury. There was a time I formed circle round the house, I mean I circled round the house, just to see and look, is it just the frontage that is attractive or all round.
That day, I got back home and told my neighbor that I saw a very beautiful house and would love to own something like that someday, he smiled and asked if its the house at the far end of the street, I said yes, he smiled again and said something in Yoruba "obe to dun owo lo pa" meaning "a sweet and well garnished food would cost a lot of money" so such house is not for my present pocket at all.
And for the rest of that day, it was a weekend, my mind jeot drifting back to the house, I imagined living there, coming out to that balcony and beholding all beauty, I imagined what the sitting room and kitchen would look like, bed, cabinet, wardrobes and all, the type of light, the televisions, the library, I even imagined the bathroom, a jacuzzi maybe. Everybody loved the house, but I loved it specially, not just for its designs, but it represented something I loved..."simplicity".
And then again, it came to my mind as i was thinking, the owner must have seen something of such, loved it, wished it and work towards it, that's his/her dream come true. What about mine?
That is my type of dream home, only that few changes would be done, it would be a very modern duplex, with enough space for a garden, small shade for enjoyment and fresh air, and a very spacious backyard where my future kids could run around. I want a house that feels simple, warm and inviting but elegant and stylish.
Now to talk of its interiors, the living room would be spacious with high ceilings, maybe a POP and warm lighting. There would be the visitors room adjacent the living room and a beautiful staircase with glass railings leading to the upper floor, which would contain another sitting room, and some bedrooms And the kitchen, spacious, well crafted, cabinets and all because a fine kitchen just makes food taste better.
Now, my bedroom. It would have a large window that would allw for very great view, a walk-in closet for dressing just like that of the fashion stores, and the bathroom would be top notch.
Then the library, not too big, but well arranged and stocked with books of different things and topics that would allow for a break or escape from reality.
To me, a dream house isn’t just about its architecture or structure, but the feeling it gives. The sense of comfort, the joy of seeing loved ones gather, the pride of knowing that after years of hard work, I have a place that truly/really reflects me.
And until then, I’ll keep on walking pass that beautiful house in my neighborhood, so as to always remember my dream of a house and to assure myself thatt dreams do come true with time, effort, and some faith.

We all have that beautiful house that caught our attention for so many reasons. I have seen alot of houses that I have loved for so many reasons but then I don't think any one of them matches what I want as a dream house sha. I would something that is big,and has alot of space.
