My Eating Habit Journey

What's your eating habit like? What goes into your mouth? Whatever is within your reach or something nutritious only? Indeed, food is life, as we popularly scream it, but knowing that what we consume determines our overall health will guide us to stick with better healthy eating habits.

I wouldn't say that my eating habits are perfect, but to a large extent, I am intentional with what goes into my mouth.I am not the type that eats large quantities of food, but I ensure to maintain a portion good enough to give my body the needed energy level. I love maintaining not eating too little food or overeating food to avoid unnecessary health issues. However, I try to ensure that the food I eat contains nutritional values that my body needs to function efficiently and effectively.


My morning or afternoon meals mustn't contain the six classes of food, but I try to ensure that before the day runs out, I have consumed food that covers most of the classes of food my body needs. It could be through veggies and fruits in smaller quantities or even nuts to add up with my main meals for the day. The idea is just to ensure that I am not malnourished and I am healthy enough to keep handling my day-to-day activities without breaking down due to deficiency in vitamins or whatever.

Also, as much as I prefer quality food over quantity, there are times I eat whatever I see. This time, I don't care if it's junk or plain food without nutritional values, just whatever to quench the hunger, and life continues. Sometimes, my body simply craves junk, and I try to satisfy such cravings in a low-key way, hehehe. I can't be too stingy with what my body system craves at a point, but in all, I make sure not to cross boundaries. Like always, consuming junk or sticking with low nutritional values of food? No, I would be compromising my well-being much if I do that. The thing is that I can't totally stay away from processed food and all these junk foods once in a while, but I strive not to allow them to overtake my eating lifestyle.

Do I have time scheduled for eating? I can't remember sticking with a particular eating time since I started working from home. The only thing is that as long as I am not fasting , I ensure to maintain three square meals per day, and I eat until I am satisfied with some level of energy to do my work.

Another important thing about my eating habits is that I love to know what I eat, which means that eating out is strictly occasional. With this, I can track the nutritional content of what I am consuming.

Finally, regardless of what I consume daily, I ensure to drink plenty of water at intervals. I think it's one of the best eating habit one can incorporate daily and when it comes to drinks, I choose wisely.

I only started taking agbalumo about 2 to 3 weeks ago, and now it's no longer in the market.

I couldnt totally relate with eating 3 square meals as a foodie, but taking less junks and drinking water regularly is really important

I don't think too much about food. I rarely take fast food as I prefer home made food. I didn't count the amount of nutrients any time. I just consider I am taking healthy food without considering the amount. Till now, nothing serious happened and so I think I am taking right amount of nutrients.
