Procrastination feels good until it puts you in a tight corner.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. Procrastination allows you to relax while you pile up loads of work that needs your attention, and when you finally come to get them done in so many cases it might too late and there won't be need to get it done again as the time frame for getting the task done has elapsed. Procrastination can cause one to miss out on life-changing opportunities; it can also cause you to miss out on opportunities that could have had a positive effect on your life. Trust me, only those who have not seen how much harm procrastination can actually cause enjoy doing that; back in the day, if procrastination had a community, I would have been the ruler.

Procrastination is actually one of the slow killers you can think of; it starts slowly, and before you know it, you have become addicted and cannot get anything done at the right time, as you always end up postponing and postponing until almost the deadline, and sometimes you end up not being able to meet up because you have plenty of tasks with almost the same deadline, and for a fact, you are not a machine; you can only do the few you can.

Funny how procrastination is something a lot of us had to deal with before we learned the harm it does and had no other choice than to let it go and try to be on time and not wait until the deadline.

I used to be the "king of I will do it later kingdom," but I had to let go of my procrastination habit after countless times of landing me in trouble and causing me to miss opportunities that would have affected my life positively. While I was working, procrastination almost caused me my job, but my considerate boss was kind enough to let me keep my job after so much scolding and threats, but as a result of my addiction to procrastination and how much I enjoyed doing it, all that did not stop me from procrastinating until I sat down and recounted how many opportunities procrastination had cost me, and one that still haunts me happened after I gained admission into college.

When I gained admission into college, I got to meet a lot of people; some were more exposed and more learned than me, and that was not even a problem as we bonded easily. I never knew one could actually gain scholarships from sites or links shared on WhatsApp, but this new friend of mine kept saying he had seen it happen countless times and kept sharing links with me to apply for scholarships, but every time he sent the link to me, I didn't do it right away, but he did it without even thinking twice.

One afternoon while I was in my room, he called to ask if I was offered any admission from one of the links he sent. He rushed to our chats on WhatsApp and highlighted the particular link, and it was at that moment I realized I did not even apply, not to talk more of being eligible for the scholarship, and it was all thanks to I will do it later. Even though it was not an international scholarship, having all your school needs taken care of and even your basic needs and all your other income will be just extras was something I would have indeed enjoyed as a student, but procrastination took that away from me, as he said both he, his siblings, and cousins that applied were all granted the scholarship.

After that experience, I had to sit up and take things more seriously and avoid having procrastination take opportunities away from me and leave me with nothing.

The procrastination on link clicking... I'm still a victim of it. It just takes me a lot of time for me to finally agreed to get to click a link sent to me...no matter how serious it is.

Victim 💯🥲

We have to stop it and change oo.

I feel your pain 😅
You will be like, "Why didn't I click that link then?"

Relaxing and procrastination are 5&6.

I regretted it that day oo 😂😂.

Procrastination will wound you 😂

That is just it my bro. It would make you feel relaxed like you have all the time in the world until it puts in that tight corner and cause you alot of problems.

It will only dawn on you when it is already too late.
