I am a resident of Bangladesh, our country is a developing country and is constantly trying to move forward in every field. The organization responsible for generating electricity in Bangladesh is the Power Grid of Bangladesh. This company is run by the government and has been providing electricity services to the public. However, I am very sad to inform you that it is not possible to generate the amount of electricity that is needed in our country. The population of our country is constantly growing, and the number of new housing units is also increasing. This new land requires new electricity connections, which is increasingly becoming a difficult task for our government. Providing new electricity connections is not really an easy task.
The people of our country are constantly becoming modern, and the use of various types of technology is constantly increasing. Nowadays, various types of electrical appliances, including ACs, are being used in large numbers in homes and offices. Moreover, the excessive use of lighting in the city is constantly increasing the electricity shortage. Since electricity consumption is lower in winter, there is less electricity shortage, and because there is less shortage, we have less load shedding here. But if I were to discuss summer, the experience is truly miserable. During the hot summer days, ACs are used in large numbers and fans and other electrical appliances are used extensively to keep the house cool, resulting in widespread electricity shortages, resulting in load shedding at an alarming rate.
Those who have IPS ( interrupted power supply) at home can get some relief during this hot summer, but those who do not have such a device to store electricity continue to live in unbearable heat and not only that, they also do not have the necessary electricity. Nowadays, buying an electric IPS is quite expensive, which is beyond the affordability of a middle-class family, so these middle-class families are constantly facing huge problems and troubles.
Most people here are comfortable using electric prepaid meters and direct electricity. However, some homes are seen using solar energy to generate electricity, but the amount is negligible.
We should prevent electricity wastage:
Most people in our country are not aware of the use of electricity, which results in a lot of electricity being wasted. Where electricity is insufficient compared to our needs, waste creates even more load shedding and disruption. We have become constantly dependent on AC and electric fans, which is not right at all. We can design our offices and homes in a way that allows for adequate ventilation and helps keep the rooms cool. Moreover, we can plant a variety of indoor plants and large quantities of plants on buildings so that our buildings stay cool and the demand on ACs and fans is reduced.
Unwanted and unreasonable lighting never brings anything good. We often see a lot of unnecessary lighting at weddings or birthday parties, which consumes a lot of electricity, which is absolutely not appropriate. If we can prevent this excess lighting and electricity waste, it will be much better for our country.
It is possible to prevent electricity waste on an individual basis. Suppose you live alone in a house and you leave the lights and fans of three rooms on at the same time, then it will undoubtedly cause a huge waste of electricity. Use your intelligence to use only as much electricity as you need and help everyone avoid electricity load shedding.
Moreover, you will be surprised to hear that incidents of electricity theft occur in various places in our country. Our country's government needs to take a stricter and more vigilant stance on electricity theft. Such illegal electricity users and thieves should be brought under strict punishment.

As much as the supply of electricity is important, that does not mean when we have at our disposal we should waste it.
I really think that electricity consumption should be as economical as possible.
It's is important that we also try to save energy as you mentioned. All electrical appliances that are not in use should be turned off. Those using prepaid meters will understand better. The government should do their best to catch those thieves and punish them according.

We are fine even though there is a slight shortage of electricity in our country, but some people waste it. Moreover, some people want to use electricity in dishonest ways, these should really be stopped.

People tend to misuse things without putting others into consideration, these set of persons should be kept in check. Also the government should provide strict rules with severe punishment for electricity thieves, maybe they would learn that way.
