Between the solar system of power, normal power supply, and that of generator power supplies, if I were to choose, I would not think twice before peacefully picking the solar system.
I do not have a solar system yet in my house, nor does anyone in the compound where I live, but I have used the normal power supply and the generator power supply, and the two of them cannot be compared to the solar power supply.

The solar power system, as I have seen people make use of it, is very reliable when installed with good-quality components, not the ones where the battery runs down after five hours of usage. This makes me wonder a lot: why would people go for low-quality systems when they can sacrificially go for a large-capacity system and enjoy the beauty of a solar power system?
But notwithstanding, the solar power system is far better than the normal power supply and the generator power supply, and the following are the reasons why I would choose the solar system:
The generator power system needs high expenses to run. In my country, Nigeria, the price of petrol and diesel, which are the gasoline that generator power supplies use, is very high. If one runs the generator system on a regular basis in a month, one would spend a good fortune when the amount spent is collated and calculated at the end of the month.

Not only on fuel, there is also the need for constant oil changes for the generators to keep functioning in good condition, and this is another expense as well. That is not all, there is also the need to mechanically service the generator, which requires a technician, and this also costs money to hire the technician. While maintenance may also occur in solar systems, the cost involved with generators is far higher.

I have complained about this many times, and it is the worst power supply in my country so far. The generator system, which is not even encouraged, is far better than the normal power supply system, and that is very bad. In this system, we pay bills for electricity supply, yet we do not get to enjoy the electricity we are billed for.
The solar system is better and highly recommended.
All it needs is just sunlight, and it works perfectly without giving anyone the trouble of a lack of electricity. The best thing about this system is that one can use electricity anytime it is needed because there is always sunlight every day, and with this, recharging is a sure thing.
The only challenge associated with this system is that it requires a large amount of money to install, especially when one desires a highly capacitated system. This is what has prevented, and is still preventing, a lot of people from getting a solar system installed in their homes. But when critically analyzed, the generator system is far more costly when considering the amount of fuel consumed. It is just that it takes a big decision for one to pull out such a large amount of money to get solar installed.
