Two unforgettable traveling experience

Hello guys!

This post was inspired by the #inleocommunity and my response to day 4 of the monthly prompt, which gives you ideas on what to write without thinking much.

This topic took me back to about two years ago when I was traveling from ondo state to ibadan with my family, here's what happened :

So on that very day, I woke up at 4am to cook and tidy up somethings before waking my children and dressing them. At 5:30am we were done dressing and ready to go. There's an igbo man living on our street, he usually goes to church every morning so I pleaded with him to give us a ride because it won't be easy for us to get means of transport at that time and he agreed.

So we got in with our bags and he took us straight to where we would be able to get bus to ore, I was really happy because he has helped us reduce money we would spend on transport. So we took bus to ore.

Luckily for us, the bus was almost full so we entered and the bus moved. When the bus moved, I felt within me that the bus was faulty, I talked to my husband and he said he also thinks the same but that there are some buses that do like that. So after driving for sometime, the car started misbehaving and everyone tried to talk to the driver and he said it's okay that we can use it to get to our destination. After like an hour plus, the car stopped and it didn't move, the driver came down and checked and saw it was the battery, the worst things that day was that there was no vulcanizer around, no filling station around, we were in the middle of the bush, to top it off no service.

The driver had to go back to ore to buy battery and that was another journey on its own entirely. We all had to sit and wait for him, I was really pissed but what could I do, we sat there waiting and praying that we should be safe and not get kidnapped. After another hour of waiting the driver came back with battery, fixed it and had to return the old one back to ore just imagine. We sat there for approximately 3 hours before we finally left there. I just thank God we to our destination safe.

Another experience was the one that happened on the first day of January. I traveled to visit my sister during the holiday and we went to my brother's house on the first, so on our way back the bus we entered was faulty and we didn't know, but along the way we all kept telling the driver to stop at a filling station and work on the bus before we move but he said it's okay that we can reach our destination.

We were all reluctant but the driver kept convincing us and we all entered, funnily enough when the bus got to the bus part of the road, it stopped and couldn't start again and the time was around past 9,I was with my children and so was my sister. We were pissed and the driver wasn't even bothered, all he cared about was his car.

He pushed the car from the bush path to where there is light and left us the passengers in the bush, we kept trying to tell him to put us in another bus before going back but he ignored and kept pushing his bus. I was upset but there was nothing I could do, my sister had to follow them down and was shouting at them and some vigilante came out and calmed her down before the driver came to his senses and looked for a bus for us. Well, we finally got home around 11pm.

All these drivers theywill know that their vehicle is faulty but they will want to manage it putting people's lives at risk, I had a similar experience too.

That's just it. It's really annoying, and they won't even feel any remorse at all
