Welcome to this special IBT survival Island update - exclusive to Hive.
IBT Survival Island is a developing PC game and having future Hive interactions is on the roadmap; ultimately the base game will be free and hopefully available to download from STEAM (a popular game downloading platform)
It's Boss Week!
The challenges keep coming....for now we are meeting these and the results are pleasing and even speak for themselves.
This weeks animation demonstrates how our Lvl One boss in Classic IBT powers herself up for attacks. This early prototype model boss is still powering up! and she will evovle further before release, but it's nice to see her born now into our fantasy world.
If you have been following for awhile you know how passionate we are to keep the technical specs required to play the game low. We want everyone to enjoy. The Classic IBT game has become so detailed its using 260 mb of Video Memory just on our boss Cassandra (Cassandra has been built using a UE4 skeletal mesh available to edit freely).
Not only can she draw on the tots awesome powers of the universe, but she can do shape shifting and other crazy stuff -- Pretty much anything she needs to help her kick the players butt...It's a boss, she can't be a push over haha.
Anyways we are pushing the 1Gb Memory limit in parts now with the game - pretty much well every video card these days has at least 2Gb Memory, but still we need to try to keep it low so that even those on a modest laptop with average performance can play (although they may have to turn down the graphics dial a bit).
The Starter Island/Enrol
The island named Enrol is fully completed. This was very difficult because we attempted to make the island look busy with people doing various jobs. a lot of detail has gone into making the Island look as real as possible trying to stick to the original IBT 2D map and plans.
As per all classic RPG each character has their own moves, traits and well attitudes. A number of small in game videos play giving you a background about IBT Island and some of the mystery that surrounds.
