Welcome to another weekly IBT survival Island update - exclusive to Hive.
In these weekly updates we will continue to provide IBT community members with an update on our developing PC game - the one to have Crypto interactions.
This week we continued to work on our AI testing and a bit of extra effort toward IBT classic.
AI testing continues
The newest AI test is about giving Npc's sight, hearing and the ability to follow. For example, if your seen from a certain distance the AI first needs to work out are you friendly, then after that should I follow you? And once in range should I cause damage to you or just run away? This test also works with sound. If the AI hears something unusual it will make a decision with similar principles. This test is important especially for adding animals that may be dangerous or even frightened....err or are just looking for a pat on the head.
The original 2D IBT Island remake (classic mode) is now taking shape and coming along nicely. Most of the unusual and unique creatures found on the map are starting to come to life. A lot of the original concepts will be added and the 3D environment of the original map is also on the roadmap. Below is a quick snapshot of the characters being worked on to interact and battle.

Are you going all right working on both sides simultaneously? Though I imagine you're at least reusing code so hopefully not adding too much extra workload :)
