In these weekly updates we will continue to provide IBT community members with an update on our developing PC game - the one to have Crypto interactions.
Tests for scrolling text
In-battle text for the classic IBT style game is now currently being perfected. I mean you cant have a classic RPG game without a back story......
Scrolling text isn't something that is handed to you on a silver platter in UE4 and it has had its difficulties to make it work.
The text being used here is an actual static mesh with a scrolling camera. UE4 comes with special widgets (UMG UI's) that you can program as your HUD also (Heads up Display) but they are like drawing on a transparent white board. Yes you can make some fancy designs but when it comes to animating it it gets messy. To create this text in the gif there are 4 layers of text on top of each other so the words can be clearly read. It also uses an emissive material making it easier to read also...Anyways its getting there :)
This week has seen ushaving a bit more fun and working more on the classic mode, its actually pretty fun now being able to bring it to life, knowing most of the in's and out's of the editor its moving from a dream, to a reality...this game is gonna rock haha!

Are there ships in IBT now? XD
In the classic battle mode, you travel across a couple of islands to face the boss at the end (just like the original IBT)
In IBT survival you will be able to build boats to visit other peoples islands later in the game
