In these regular updates we will bring fresh content to Hive, in the form of our game coding experiences; IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.
Painting the terrain
Nightmare time again. If IBT is going to die, its will die here. So far I've used over 30,000 foliage meshes (uses less memory than a standard static mesh) for ground cover. I do have typical weeds like thistles and other introduced weeds but for now I'm sticking to the clumps of Australian native grass. We still have little more painting ground cover to go, (maybe another 20,000 weeds) and we are watching the FPS drop a bit at times but still not too bad.
Toxic stagnant water ponds
rocks can hold water well in hills and mountains. Some times algae can form and animals can die in the water making it more toxic again. So be careful of these ponds. They do exist. Hopefully after release we are thinking about introducing "yabbies" that can keep thses ponds clean and are a great food source.
All the trees are added
With this much better version of the IBT Island tutorial, all the trees have been added. These trees are used for you to build shelters with. Once they are chopped down, they are gone for good. Some trees attract animals so be careful how you treat your environment.
And that's this update done.
We have a Dicord Channel, if keen for it pop a message here and jump in and drop us a line and help with some testing.
