In these regular updates we will bring fresh content to Hive, in the form of our game coding experiences; IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.
Bird life on IBT Island
Nothing better than seeing bird life on IBT Island. Using a single static mesh of a bird, by replicating it we can make it look like a 3D flock of birds on all the different angles you're on. Its better than looking like a 2D flat flick book animation that's for sure. We have done the bird flock this way as for future updates it gives us an opportunity to code them to be huntable.
Little details, equals big deal?
With some camera angles some materials up close look crap. Then with crap looking materials comes crap looking meshes! With this we have tried our best to squeeze the best we can out of our textures that are seen up close by the camera. With some meshes it isn't possible, so some sacrifices are made but the majority of textures outside of terrain have been tweaked.
Got the pushing back again
Again we have the pushy stuff back in "IBT Island" again. It is also available in the other game "IBT original" but for that version of the game it will be used for puzzles. In "IBT Island" it is mainly used for secret areas and hidden easter eggs!! In this Gif example you can see the hands go inside the cube before pushing starts (clipping) but this will be fixed in the next few days by simply arching (rotating) the skeletal meshes pelvis or spine back a bit.
