In these regular updates we will bring fresh content to Hive, in the form of our game coding experiences; IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.
Crouching completed
There is always a few steps you must take before adding crouching. First, is to make sure the skeleton fits the animation. Second, the animation collision must drop down or "duck" down to at least the crouch height of the animation. Third, when moving forward the animation must walk in a crouched position. Fourth, the animation cannot fully stand up if there is an obstacle above them. And most of all Fifth, by having crouching you can add little secret areas where goodies can be found!
This week coming working on AI
We could release a DEMO right now but we were thinking it would be great fun to add some basic AI. The hunting side won't be ready just yet as for debugging must begin first. Yes we will release a playable DEMO but it will be limited. We will be looking for feedback and reporting of any errors people may find before we move forward.
Animation Test
All seems to be running well. A small about of "clipping" with the camera (Camera sees through rock ceiling) but overall not too bad. Animations ran well and the collisions did work well plus trying to stand up would not work which is exactly what we wanted.
that's it for this update dudes.
Adding AI is an interesting touch. Maybe you could ask AI how best to incorporate AI.
