Hoy quiero contarles un poco sobre lo que fue nuestra celebración de los cincuenta años de creación de El Sistema de orquestas y coros de Venezuela, una de las obras sociales de mayor impacto en Venezuela y el mundo. Estoy muy contenta porque todo el arduo trabajo de estas semanas rindió sus frutos en el macro concierto que realizamos, de tal manera que pudimos celebrar por todo lo alto este medio siglo de música y transformación social, agradeciendo a la mente maestra de todo esto, el maestro José Antonio Abreu.

Today I want to tell you a little about our celebration of the fifty years of creation of El Sistema of orchestras and choirs of Venezuela, one of the social works with the greatest impact in Venezuela and the world. I am very happy because all the hard work of these weeks paid off in the macro concert that we held, in such a way that we were able to celebrate this half century of music and social transformation in style, thanking the mastermind of all this, maestro José Antonio Abreu.
Cada 12 de febrero conmemoramos y celebramos un año más para El Sistema, este año no fue la excepción, más aún siendo 50 años, que aunque se dicen fácil, son años de esfuerzo y dedicación para poder mantelerlo en pie. En cada estado del país, hay numerosos núcleos con cantidades bastante grandes de integrantes. Aquí en mi pueblo, Cumanacoa, celebramos el día 12 con un desfile bien temprano en la mañana, seguido de una misa y como cierre un hermoso concierto que involucró una cantidad aproximada de 250 participantes, entre niños, adultos y profesores.
Every February 12 we commemorate and celebrate another year for El Sistema, this year was no exception, even more so being 50 years, which although they are said to be easy, are years of effort and dedication to be able to keep it standing. In each state of the country, there are numerous nuclei with quite large numbers of members. Here in my town, Cumanacoa, we celebrated the 12th with a parade very early in the morning, followed by a mass and as a closing a beautiful concert that involved an approximate number of 250 participants, including children, adults and teachers.
Luego de haber celebrado el aniversario en nuestro núcleo, se venía el macro concierto que incluía los integrantes de la mitad de todo el estado Sucre, un total de 1600 músicos unidos en escena, una experiencia maravillosa y cargada de sentimientos.
After having celebrated the anniversary in our core, the macro concert came that included members from half of the entire state of Sucre, a total of 1600 musicians united on stage, a wonderful experience full of feelings.
Así que, el día 15 de febrero, celebramos en Cumaná, los 50 años de fundación del Sistema, con un repertorio de música venezolana y clásica, le soplamos las velitas al Sistema y nos reencontramos amigos de infancia que hoy en día ya somos colegas en la música.
So, on February 15, we celebrated in Cumaná, the 50 years of founding of the System, with a repertoire of Venezuelan and classical music, we blew out the candles to the System and we met childhood friends who today are already colleagues in music.
Con una amplia galería les dejo algunas muestras de lo que fueron los dos días de celebración, hoy después del concierto, me siento conforme con el trabajo que realizamos, el gran esfuerzo de mis pequeños alumnos, el gran esfuerzo de cads representante, porque nos unimos y pudimos conmemorar un gran día. También me siento sumamente orgullosa de mi pequeñines que cada día me demuestran lo talentosos que son y orgullosa también de ser parte de esta maravillosa familia.
