Hello, beautiful community! Sofia's here.
So, I painted this cute main character from the manhwa "Painter of The Night" from the author/illustrator Byeonduck. The name of this character is Baek Nakyum and is a sincere, lovely, a little clumsy and pure souled character.
The Idea
To be honest, I just wanted to practice how the lights and shadows affects the bodies, and who better to try it with if it isn't a beautiful fellow such as Nakyum? Plus, this pose is taken from one of the pages of the mangwa, season two: I looked at it, got stupid for his beauty for a second, got inspired and here we are!
The Process
Believe it or not, this simple paint... this simple practice... drove me insane. I was pulling out my hair. Because it was the first or second time I really practiced the light and shadow thing with watercolor so, I near messed up everything for like at least 5 times.
Anyway, as I said, I used watercolor, played a bit with the mixes to reach the perfect tone and used an extra concentration.
I hope you enjoyed it!
