Disc:Boston.
Year:1976
Everything sounded perfect in this beautiful song capable of touching hearts and making anyone fall in love. That neat and sweet beginning with the ornamental acoustics and how they share the limelight with the electric ones, the waste of romanticism of the melody, the harmonious bridge that gives way to a rock riff, the heartfelt chorus... a delight.
Tom Scholz was magnificent leading the Bostonian ship with his guitar, without underestimating his accompanist Barry Goudreau, the other impressive soloist. Scholz stunned the world with what he extracted from that impeccable January 1976 album, a sales success. Brad Delp was the ideal counterpoint with that impeccable and amazing voice that would give melodic sense to the most important AOR band in history; a legend.
“More Than A Feeling”, which appeared as a single at the same time as the vinyl, had all the ingredients to become a long-lasting hit, as it had both rock consistency and balladic sensibility with a flowery production. An all-in-one that has since become one of the most masterful and grandiloquent rock and radio classics ever composed.
Good my people, thanks once again for reading me, this time I leave here this legendary song of a very iconic band like Boston, so I leave you the link, and I hope you like it. A thousand blessings to all and see you in a new post.
