MOTORHEAD

Theme:OVERKILL.
Disc:Overkill.
Year:1979.

Is it an earthquake? The roar of an uncontrolled beast?...No! It's...Motorhead! What a way to put the thunder of these British angels. A true sonorous apocalypse. Maybe their image of leather, military references and belts of bullets was scary, but when you listened to them, they made you want to run away in terror.

“Overkill” is one of the best proofs of this; a gale of strength and aggressive energy. Noisy rock n' roll like no other, the perfect bridge between metal and punk, which would be a clear precedent of the fastest and bloodiest tendencies of extreme metal, such as speed and thrash. With that is all said and done. Philty “Animal” Taylor beat his drums with viciousness like a machine out of control, with the forcefulness of a caveman who had been given a drum as a toy and dedicated himself to smash it with sledgehammers.

MOTORHEAD

Eddie “Fast” Clarke was a rabid and energetic guitarist like few others, playing furious and tireless at full speed...his nickname says it all. And Lemmy...what can we say about Lemmy, he was pounding his bass with a raw and dynamite sound and intimidating the audience with his piercing voice. “Overkill” was one of the fastest and most rabid pieces of the original trio that would mark the best stage of the band, with a thundering drummer that gave life to the song twice when it seemed to be finished, bringing the dirty watts of the band to the full band.

Needless to say that the acidic American thrash metal band led by Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth's hurtful timbre took its name from this tremendous pitched battle of maximum volumes. A good method of auditory torture or pleasure for those who are suicidal of the timpani and lovers of this vital band. A bomb.

Well my people I hope you like this post and a thousand blessings to all. Thank you for reading
