What Is BPUD?
BBHO is a mining token for the BBH project from @bradleyarrow. With BBH standing for Bitcoin Backed Hive.
sets the release price for tokens (scroll down to BBH RELEASE PRICE).I'm fascinated by the valuation of this token. Being linked to Bitcoin. Though ultimately, the market sets the value. But it's interesting to see how @bradleyarrow
Why Now?
There's no particular reason why it's important to start powering up BBHO tokens today.
Earlier, my fascination with the BBH tokens led me to investing. From which I learned about the BBHO token. So I decided to buy some and join in with BPUD. But at the time, I wasn't posting much on Hive. So when I got to BPUD day some time last year, I wasn't prepared enough. Leading to me missing the BPUD posting deadline.
That time, I decided to power up the BBHO that I had, and set a reminder for January. Which I missed again. Hence, my first BPUD today.
Buying BBHO
There's nothing unusual about buying BBHO. So just go to your usual token exchange and buy whatever you want. For BPUD, there's a minimum power-up of 100 BBHO. So, before midnight on the 20th of the month, power up and publish a post with #bbh and #bpud tags. Also mentioning @bradleyarrow.
Note that times for BPUD are UTC-based. So the easiest way is to set a reminder using Reykjavík time. Because Icelanders don't torture us with daylight saving time.
My BBHO Purchase
Due to the relationship with Bitcoin. I like to buy my BBHO using SATs earned from various games. I've written about some of my regular games in the past. And I'll surely bore you with them again in future. But for now, I'll just describe a summary of my Bitcoin to Hive to BPUD transition.
- Collect SATs from Wallet of Satoshi and ZBD into Speed Lightning network wallet.
- Use V4V App to invoice Speed wallet. Then wait a few seconds for HIVE tokens (or HBD) to reach Hive Wallet.
- Use Hive Keychain app to swap HIVE for BBHO. As mentioned, any suitable exchange will work, but I was still playing on my Android at the time.
- If it isn't BBHO Power Up day yet, wait for the 20th of the month. (I prepped my BBHO balance yesterday.)
- Stake (or Power Up) at least 100 BBHO…
