Be unique, keep off crowd-mindset, else, your dreams get shattered

While growing up, I can vividly recall sitting at the feet of my father. I sat down listening to his insightful pieces of advice ranging from life issues, goal targeting, to financial points. He always said to me,
“There are two ways to go about making a name for yourself. It’s either you do what others are doing or you do something different. If you do what others are doing you can only have minimal success come quickly. If you create something different and unique, it might take time, but the result is more rewarding. There are no two ways about it.”

What exactly are you doing today? Are you following the dreams of others or yours? Are you that leaf that is stuck to the branch of a tree, steadily increasing in size? Or you are those which falls and is left for the wind to dictate its destination?

The decision to write your path on stones is yours to make. Don’t be driven by others to achieve their goals. Be the leaf that is stuck to its branch(your goals) and keeps increasing. Be the wind that takes others to their destination. Be the change and a problem solver for yourself and that people yearn to have among them.

Check yourself properly, and you will realize what causes the most problems you can have. Are you not aware of this yet? Ok. It’s by doing what others do that doesn’t work for you. Yes! The answer to that is simple, right? But it’s not simple as simple is said. Strive to do things that work for you.

Edmund Mbiaka said, “nothing distracts one from one's true purpose in life more than following the crowd mentality.”

What is your ‘mentality' or life's purpose? What is that thing that you so wish to achieve? Find it and make yourself happy. Discover that which makes you unique, for who you are. Stand out from the crowd of spectators. They are there to watch you take action. Learn whatever it is you need to know to reach the peak of your desires.

I hope you got something from this piece? I very much welcome your view on this in the comment section. Have a wonderful week!

P.S: I have been learning graphics design recently. My image is one of the few creations I have made ever since. How well did it come out? I need your honest critique. Have a blessed week!
