Online Gaming is an evergreen industry that most of us have interacted with at some point or other. With the increase PC, it grew a lot when the internet became available to domestic households. Mobile internet and smartphones was this industry getting a phenomenal boost and the industry is expanding at a phenomenal rate.
Blockchain gaming the big picture
Bring the games to the blockchain and you have added it to the Gamefi ecosystem that is growing and expanding exponentially.
A case in point can be seen by a game that caused a big splash. Not too long ago when cryptokitties was launched on the Ethereum blockchain the game transactions were so many that it choked the entire blockchain.
This means a special kind of blockchain would be needed to handle the game transactions and if these games can generate such frenzy and fan support. One can only imagine how this industry would grow in times to come.
How the GameFi industry is slated to grow?
If we use numbers to put things into perspective then we see that as an industry the GameFi industry was at $4.9 billion in the year 2022.
However, the projections show that by 2032 the industry would grow to $818.5 billion
This means a 167X increase from the 2022 numbers.
2022 was a remarkable year for the blockchain gaming industry as the covid pandemic caused a lot of people to stay at home and playing blockchain based games meant that people got an opportunity to play as well as earn an income to support themselves and their families.
This means many more gaming projects in the GameFi space would be developed and one specific project of importance is the Army of crypto.
What is the army of crypto?
Army of Crypto or AOC is a blockchain based play to earn game being built in the story based narrative. It is a game developed on the ONIX blockchain.

The Army of Crypto gameplay involves both roleplaying and the use of strategies to win the game.
The game involves collecting game cards and making strategies to pick a winning set of cards to beat your opponent's cards. The player cards represent soldiers, generals, and legendary characters.
The idea is to be part of a battle to beat the opponent in this card game for this a player can upgrade cards to become the winning commander.
The backstory of the game
The world is in the grip of global leaders who are using and printing the paper money of their respective countries to control their people. This relentless printing of paper money has created financial challenges for the global economy and the fiat world is experiencing the great fiat depression as a result of this situation.
This has led to poverty, misery violence, and chaos in various parts of the world.
Over all the world is in a state of turmoil and unrest.
Another part is the crypto community that is not dependent on the government. They have become financially strong and become rich.
It is a story where the governments launch a 51% attack on the blockchain and how those in the crypto world need to fight back to regain control.

When I first visited the Army of crypto site a few days back , one needed one to download the game in order to play.
However as of writing this post, there is the option to play the full version of the game by downloading it or play a mini version online.

Collaboration of leofinance & Army of crypto
The Army of Crypto and leofinance have created a collaboration. Leofinance is already an established Web 3.0 platform and Army of crypto a promising and upcoming play2earn blockchain game so this coming together of these two projects is only logical.

Game elements
It is a card game where the gameplay requires a strategy to outwit and defeat your opponent.
If a player wants to test the game there is a free to play version available that they can try.
Optionally at any time if they want to get into the real action of winning rewards they can make use of the in-game purchase feature to enhance their game experience.
The shop is the place to go if you want to buy a pack
There are 3 different packs that one can buy
- The Essential Pack : $20
- The Ultimate Pack : $60
- The Legendary Pack : $300

Types of battles
Depending upon the packs and cards a player has he can participate in various battles which are
- soldier battles,
- general battles, and
- legendary battles
Each battle would have deck restrictions and rules.
In addition, there are tournaments and the free to play modes as well.
Your winning depends upon the what battles you play. Winning a Legendary battle would be most rewarding however one can start with an Essential Pack and grow the account from there.
Hertz is the native governance token of the Army of Crypto game.
How to make use of the Play2Earn function?
As a player wins a battle he earns Hertz tokens the in-game currency.
A functional strategy would be to keep winning maximum battles and do well in the tournaments.
This can help a player win Hertz and other designated rewards.

First, you have to register an account to get started.

The Gameplay involves a player versus player mode
Once all the cards are placed on the board there is a roll of dice and the player who gets the higher number in the roll of dice gets to play first.
He would then receive 3 cards from his deck and 1 node mana. Based on his cards he can analyze his cards as well as those present on the board to decide on his move.
Receiving nodes during battle
- A player would receive 1 Mana per round
- 1 Node is required to summon 1 Soldier
- 3 nodes are needed to Summon 1 General
- 5 Nodes are needed to summon a legendary card
To use magic one can check the card as it specifies how many nodes are needed for magic for that card.
Defeating opponents gets the player rewards
If 1 soldier is defeated 1 node is awarded to the winner
If 1 General is defeated 3 Nodes are awarded to the winner
If 1 Legendary card is defeated 5 nodes are awarded to the winner
Battle rules
When a turn begins a player receives a card in his hand. In cases the hand is full and has 6 cards no cards get added.
Game moves that a player can do
- Place the card on the board
- A Player can Attack
- A Player can move
- A player can pass
- A player can use Magic
The pass move can be used before any other action.
Combination moves are also possible except for
- Move & Attack
- Attack & Move
Final thoughts
The game is in early alpha so it is a good opportunity to grow with the game. Since it is already having the option to use hive and HBD so it gives the hive and hbd users a good opportunity to get on board the game and start playing. Usually in play2earn games, the early players get a lot of advantage as they get more time to grasp the game as it evolves and this gives them the opportunity to grow their card and NFT collection and make their accounts grow in experience and power as the game grows.

From a detailed roadmap, a clear whitepaper great graphics it has all the elements to make it a great game and if more people can be brought in to grow the community around it then I see nothing stopping it :)
