have you ever considered setting your alarm clock for bedtime, to unwind?
This works so well! (I ignore it though :( Especially if I'm busy creating... I'm really bad when I'm stuck into a project... they say progress and not perfection though and you are so inspiring with this stuff. Don't stop!)
I do turn off all screens about an hour before bedtime, when my son is around (if I'm focused more on our health) and this really helps us get a better sleep.
We then do the whole night-time routine thing more easily, get to bed at a reasonable hour and read instead (which we both find far more relaxing). Much better than straight off tv or whatever when our brains are still buzzing with whatever content and the stimulation from the light / screen as well. 👍
Also... more reading time! And I've found I hardly read anymore with the evolution of the internet. I used to read a book a day / or in two days max, at one point in my life. I miss that! A lot!

That's an excellent habit. I used to do the same religiously, but not now because I spend so much time on Hive.
Amazingly, you both love to read. That's one thing I hope to do more of this year. I already have a list to start.
I'm BAD at being caught in the middle of being creative too... and unfortunately, that happens in the wee hours of the morning when the world is asleep and I'm most productive...I had to fight that for my health though.

I hear you on the after midnight hours when the world is quiet. There's some kind of creative magic that happens then for me as well.
Yes. I read to my kids every night at bedtime. Now they're both avid readers. It just makes everything around learning easier.
And they do say a person who never reads only lives one life, while a person who does read lives hundreds!

But yeah... there's so much to read here as well!
Perhaps the screen rule at bedtime is the balance. Who knows? Yet to find it!
But we keep trying, shall we?
