Faith, Effort, and the Will to Try

One of the key lessons I've learned in life is that success is rarely as easy as people make it out to be. We often see others in those "I made it" positions, smiling, celebrating their wins or successes, and we think that person got there without effort or it just happened for them (which is completely untrue in most cases). The reality is, behind every "success", is a struggle that is not always visible to the masses.

For instance, when I was younger I had real struggles. I struggled and had to work for everything that I accomplished. Looking back at my life and my journey, I can only thank God for how far He has brought me. It hasn't just been me and that is something that I have come to appreciate.

People often advocate to "work hard" and you will be successful, that may be true, but that isn't all that there is to success. There are times where you need help; financial, advice, mentoring, or someone who believes in you and your potential. Trust me when I say, it doesn't usually just come.

This is why I believe in divine influence. You don't have to be religious to believe that sometimes life brings people in your path at just the right moment. I genuinely believe God orchestrates our timing for opportunities and directed us towards others. I'm not the only one who believes this; there are other successful people (wealthy millionaires) who know God and refer to God with many of their journeys.

That being said, here is the counterbalance: you can't sit back and say, "I think I'm going to get my opportunity because I believe in God". Faith does not negate preparation. Opportunities don't knock on some doors; they knock on the doors of those who are prepared. This is where the effort in your personal journey plays a role.

You have to want to try, you have to want to feel uncomfortable, you have to want to learn, and you have to want to commit to something difficult. It is not easy as it looks. Starting something new, taking risks and things for your dreams will stretch you. But the only way you will know if this path is right for you is to try. You owe it yourself to try. The path might be grueling, but the growth, the learning and the success that are waiting for you is worth it. So no matter where you are today, don't give up. Keep moving forward. It may not be easy but you've got to try it yourself.

Indeed, God orders our steps ... but we still have to walk them. "Faith without works is dead."

Rightly said! thank you 😊

This is a powerful reflection on the role of hard work, faith, and opportunity in achieving success. Your point about the unseen struggles behind many "overnight successes" is crucial and often overlooked. It's a reminder that success is rarely a simple equation, but rather a complex interplay of effort, timing, and sometimes, a degree of fortunate circumstance.

I appreciate that, i believe there is more that contribute to success. There is so much behind the scenes that people don't see
