Good day everyone!
Seems like it's been so long since my last post here. Was so busy in preparing for our graduation and all the hardships in life that I had to face alone. Now's my chance to post. I hope everyone is doing well and doing good.
For today's blog, I'll just share some tactics here on how I manage stress. It might not be applicable for almost everyone but at least it'll do for some. Nowadays, we can conclude that stress is a trend. Especially in college students who usually encounter a lot of activities and projects. Without proper stress management, it'll cause branches of mental problems such as depression, anxiety or any other related to it.
Me, myself as a college student also encounters those things and deals with stress almost everyday of my life. I've been through a lot of situations where my mental state can no longer handle the stress which affects my emotional state at the same time. But then I realized that with proper stress management techniques, I can avoid worsening my situation during these times. I'd be happy to share 3 common techniques I do with everyone.
Shutting off Social Media

- usually whenever I get stressed especially if it involves social media or the internet. What I do is shut my phone off, and leave the house to go for a walk around our corner. At least an hour of walking. This helps me to refocus my mind and to let other thoughts sink in. By putting myself away from social media temporarily, it allows my mind to think clearly without noticing anything that might disturb that peace I created.
Music in my Ears

- Music is interesting and allows my thoughts to calm down. Ever since I was a kid, I taught myself to love music and use it whenever I get bored or get hurt. I believe that music helps me in changing the mood and relieves stress at some point.
Reading Books

- Reading books is interesting and does really help. In a way that instead of thinking about those things that stresses your mind, reading books changes that idea and allows your mind to create lovely imagination according to what you can read on the book. It allows me to refocus and forget the stressful things that I have endured during the day.
For some, they find it weird because most of us probably deals with stress in a different way but these are effective for me so therefore, I believe that it may be effective to others too! Remembering that stress is something to be dealt with and needs to be managed well, we must put in mind that it should never be left unattended as it will greatly affect your mood as well as your mental being. It's not healthy for our mind guys, hehehe.

A stress was indeed in college, especially dealing with major subjects plus of you had thesis!
Shutting social media, I am doing that too! If there is a budget, I would go into nature trip!
Same goes here! Nature trip is really relaxing and stress freeing.
