Intimidated. Insecure. Diffident.
Three words that would describe how one would normally react when surrounded by people who are smarter, more powerful, more brilliant; it is totally normal to feel this way.
I remember a few years back, when I was starting in my career, I've heard stories from other schoolmates on why some were hopping from one job to another, attributing their quick turnoever to unhealthy work environments and unnecessarily competitive office space. Some people would be up for this kind of challenge, but not me. I love competition but not the unhealthy kind.
Early on, my boss's mentality has always been "I'll groom you to be the best leader there is" You're probably in love with my boss at this point! HAHA Gatekeeping isn't in his system, whatever he knows he ensures I know about it. I grew up in Virginia immersed in almost all aspect of the business until recently when departments have been more defined and roles clarified. But back then, I'd find myself in all kinds of events with all kinds of individuals.
Instead of shrinking or feeling threatened when I meet someone brilliant, an excitement sparks within and a thought like "What can I learn from this guy today?" emerges. Built bridges, created connections that have positively impacted the company. Talk about free consultations (post implementation), free tours, free food, great friendships, and if you're lucky a family to call whenever you're in another city.

Living life intentionally every single day, she believes that there’s no limit to one’s potential. Right now, she’s on the loose for the pursuit of endless holistic self-growth and development.
