UNA GALERIA DE ARTE RODEADA DE NATURALEZA [ENG/ESP]

Hola HIVE espero que todos se encuentren muy bien disfrutando de la dicha de poder apreciar las obras de artes que adornan la ciudad.
Today I have come to tell you a little about an art gallery surrounded by nature, it is the Parque de los Caobos in the city of Caracas, Venezuela, an oasis adorned with fascinating sculptures spread around this beautiful place where many people come to meditate, relax and live the present moment of happiness and harmony next to nature.
Hoy les he venido a hablar un poco de una galería de arte rodeada de naturaleza, se trata del parque de los caobos en la ciudad de Caracas, Venezuela, un oasis adornado de fascinantes esculturas repartidas por los alrededores de ese hermoso lugar al que muchas personas acuden para meditar, relajarse y vivir el presente momento de felicidad y armonía junto a la naturaleza.
When visiting the park we can find wonderful pieces of art such as "ICARO" a sculpture by the artist Felipe Herrera made with a mixed technique using iron and concrete, the piece represents Icarus (winged man) and contains a very shocking message written "A man is not a bird and must endure the meanness of being tied to the earth as an angel to heaven." In Greek mythology Icarus is the son of Daedalus, he decided to escape from the island of Crete, but King Minos controlled the land and the sea, so he made wings for himself and his son with feathers and wax; When he finally finished the job, they flapped their wings and flew, Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly too high, because the heat of the sun would melt the wax, nor too low because the sea foam would wet the wings and he could not rise; Icarus began to ascend and the burning sun softened the wax, he waved his arms, but it was in vain and he fell into the sea.
Al visitar el parque nos podemos encontrar con maravillosas piezas de arte como lo es "ICARO" una escultura del artista Felipe Herrera realizada con una técnica mixta usando hierro y concreto, la pieza representa a Icaro (hombre alado) y contiene escrito un mensaje muy estremecedor "Un hombre no es un pájaro y debe soportar la ruindad de estar unido a la tierra como un ángel al cielo". En la mitología griega Icaro es hijo de Dédalo, este decidió escapar de la isla Creta, pero el rey Minos controlaba la tierra y el mar, así que fabrico con plumas y cera alas para él y su hijo; Cuando al fin termino el trabajo, batieron sus alas y volaron, Dédalo advirtió a icaro que no volase demasiado alto, porque el calor del sol derretiría la cera, ni muy bajo porque la espuma del mar mojaría las alas y no podría elevarse; Icaro comenzó a ascender y el ardiente sol ablando la cera, el agito sus brazos, pero fue en vano y cayó al mar.
We continued walking and came across an imposing life-size pachyderm, with its tail raised and its ears spread out in the wind. It is situated in a body of water and one of its front legs is placed on a small rock. Titled "THE GOLDEN AFRICAN ELEPHANT" created by the sculptor Andrea De Giusseppe, it is a work that represents the tenacity and strength of the elements; it is undoubtedly fascinating to appreciate this large piece.
Seguimos caminando y nos encontramos con un imponente paquidermo de tamaño real, tiene la cola alzada y las orejas desplegadas al viento, está situado en un espejo de agua y una de sus patas delanteras se ubica sobre una pequeña roca. Titulado "EL ELEFANTE AFRICANO DORADO" creado por la artista escultora Andrea De Giusseppe, es una obra que representa la tenacidad y fuerza de los elementos; sin duda alguna es fascinante apreciar esta pieza de gran tamaño.
A little further on we can delight ourselves by viewing the work of "THINKER" by the author James Mathisson, the Venezuelan sculptor created this work that is located in the middle of a mirror of water, supported on a flat rectangular concrete base; the work represents a human head in a reclining position, it is hollow and with an expression of concern, it is metallic and presents cracks and craquelatures. Its author was inspired by a fragment of the poem "El Hidalgo" by Jose Antonio Ramos: "I suffer submerged in the shadow, the blindness of a marble statue and its immortal sadness."
Un poco más adelante podemos deleitarnos visualizando la obra de "PENSADOR" del autor James Mathisson, el escultor venezolano elaboro esta obra que se encuentra en medio de un espejo de agua, apoyado sobre una base plana rectangular de concreto; La obra representa una cabeza humana en posición acostada, es hueca y con expresión de preocupación, es metálica y presenta grietas y craquelaturas. Su autor se inspiró en un fragmento de la poesía "El Hidalgo" de Jose Antonio Ramos: "Yo padezco sumergido en la sombra, la ceguedad de una estatua de mármol y su tristeza inmortal".
There are several works that are not reviewed, but by searching a little on the Internet I was able to find some related information, such as "The Ephebe of Marathon" which is a copy of a classical piece from the 4th century BC. It was found in the Aegean Sea in 1925 and the original is currently in the National Museum of Athens. This copy is a bronze cast and was donated by the Government of the Republic of Greece to the municipal government of Caracas as a symbol of friendship between peoples.
Hay varias obras que se encuentran sin reseña, pero averiguando un poco por internet pude encontrar algunos datos relacionados como es el caso de "El efebo de Marathon" es una copia de una pieza clásica del siglo IV A.C, fue Hallado en el mar de Egeo en 1925 y el original se encuentra actualmente en el museo nacional de Atenas. Esta copia es un vaciado en bronce y fue donada por el Gobierno de la Republica de Grecia, al gobierno municipal de Caracas como símbolo de amistad entre los pueblos.
Another of those works without a review is "Centaura Justina" or also known as the Horse with Wheels, a creation by the sculptor artist Gaudi. Made with a mixed technique using concrete and metal, the artist creates a chimerical animal that integrates the presence of the horses, natural guardians of the park, together with the wheel alluding to modernity that summons the movement in the passing of time.
Otra de esas obras sin reseña es "Centaura Justina" o también conocida como el Caballo con Ruedas una creación de la artista escultora Gaudi Esté realizada con una técnica mixta usando concreto y metal la artista elabora un animal quimérico que integra la presencia de los caballos custodios naturales del parque, junto con la rueda alusiva a la modernidad que convoca al desplazamiento en el pasar del tiempo.
A very interesting piece that we can find when visiting this open-air gallery is an iron piano that we can interact with. I did not find any information about who the author is, but I find it to be a very captivating sculpture that has been the subject of many photographs over the years.
Una pieza muy interesante con la que nos podemos encontrar al visitar esta galería al aire libre es un piano de hierro con el que podemos interactuar, no encontré ningún dato sobre quien es el autor, pero me parece una escultura muy cautivadora que ha sido motivo para muchas fotografías a lo largo de los años.
There is another imposing sculpture apart from the elephant that catches your attention in a surprising way. It is the “Trumpet for the Deaf”, a sculpture by the artist Marcos Salazar. This work represents a metal trumpet without a visible base, resting directly on the ground and placed horizontally. The piece narrows towards the center and opens again at the opposite pole in the form of a human ear. The author, within a broad investigation into sculpture, decodes the electroacoustic experience of the body, through different languages to give meaning to the call that the sacred exerts from the field of the visible.
Hay otra escultura imponente aparte del elefante que capta tu atención de una manera sorprendente se trata de la "Trompetilla para sordos" una escultura del artista Marcos Salazar, esta obra representa una trompetilla metálica sin base visible, apoyada directamente en la tierra y está emplazada en posición horizontal; la pieza se estrecha hacia el centro y vuelve a abrirse en el polo opuesto en forma de oreja humana. El autor dentro de una amplia investigación en lo escultórico decodifica la vivencia electroacústica del cuerpo, mediante diferentes lenguajes para dar sentido al llamado que lo sagrado ejerce desde el campo de lo visible.
Then, a little further to the left, we can find another sculpture entitled "En Doblez" (In Fold). It is an abstract figure, all in metal, created by the artist Sydia Reyes. The piece is made up of two symmetrical parts; it is represented by elements in the form of slender parallelepipeds, arranged transversally and parallel to each other, and the entire edge is made up of a wide metal band that bends at a right angle to form the edge on the upper face of the structure. The work represents the incursion of the urban into the park, expressing this phenomenon in the opposition between culture and nature as a way of seeking the balance we need to live in our city.
Luego un poco más a la izquierda nos podemos encontrar con otra pieza escultórica titulada "En Doblez" se trata de una figura abstracta, toda en metal creada por la artista Sydia Reyes, la pieza está conformada por dos partes simétricas; está representada por elementos en forma de paralelepípedos esbeltos, dispuestos transversalmente y paralelos entre sí y todo el borde se constituye por una ancha banda metaliza que dobla en ángulo recto para hacer el borde por la cara superior de la estructura. La obra representa la incursión de lo urbano en el parque, expresando este fenómeno en la oposición cultura-naturaleza como una manera de buscar el equilibrio que necesitamos para vivir en nuestra ciudad.
Visiting the Parque de los Caobos in Caracas is truly a visual delight. Every time I get the chance, I go and spend the afternoon meditating or meeting new people. There are many more works of art distributed throughout the park, but I haven't taken any more photos. On my next visit, I will take photos of the pieces of art that I missed in order to continue this experience. I hope you like this post. Good vibes.
De verdad que visitar el parque de los caobos en la ciudad de Caracas, es un deleite visual, cada vez que se me da la oportunidad voy y paso la tarde meditando o conociendo nuevas personas; hay muchas más obras distribuidas en el parque, pero no he sacado más fotografía, en mi próxima visita le tomare foto a las piezas de artes que me faltaron para realizar una continuación de esta experiencia.
