I visited a friend on friday and she moved away from Rotterdam to a place about 45 minutes from where we live. They bought a house and with th house came an old lady. not a person but a old jaguar. Silverblue but in a state that is, well I don’t know how to call it.
Old and abandoned is the best way to put it. She is a Jaguar 3.8 automatic without many part.
The house is huge and belonged to an old married couple that was seperated due to covid and the gentleman even died as a result of covid. The old lady went to a elderly home and the house had to be sold with all that was in and around it. The price was good enough so our friends bought the place from the old lady with the silverblue lady in the yard.
The story is that it was a car that was supposed to, be restored but I don’t know how long ago they stared! And it needs a lot of TLC.
I took some pictures and showed it to hubby when I got home and he said Morse had one! “ Morse? Morse who ? He was talking about :

Well I didn’t see the resemblance with the silver lady but my husband said if our friend would do some major restoring the lady might bring in some extra cash.
I didn’t say anything, must be a guys thing, but there is a lot of work, and there is so much that needs to be cleaned I don’t know that. Its like with vintage things some I understand like clothes and bags, but cars is a whole different ball game.
I had to laugh about the little bottle turtle wax, I think they will need 12 bottles to, let her shine and glow again, like a lady does.
The house is gorgeous and the garden so beautiful.

its appreciated and remember always focus on being creative
instead of being bee-zy.

Week 60 already wow
It definitely needs a lot of work 😳 but it is a pretty, vintage car! It looks like it would have been very elegant in its heyday! Please let us know if your friends decide to restore it! 🙂
He already decided but also said it would be a more years plan, so that the kids could drive it when they are 18 , its very nice and i had a laugh because i really dont understand and just dont see it yet
Look like it can be a good extra cash, between 30K€ & 60K€ restored or just for the fun to drive a classic car :)
He said the same thing , but it will need a lot of time and love hahhahah, but he will do it and i will do as blog on the progress
Yep I think it will take a lot of time too, very nice idea to make post about the progress, there are people who love classic cars on Hive (Planetauto community), I'm sure they will be happy to see them 👍

Classic cars can be worth a lot if in good shape, so yeah! restoring it would be a good idea.
We all know how old vintage cars are more resistant than any new car made in the last 10-20 years, most likely aster restoring it the car will be able to live easily another 20 years! 🤣
Great looking house and the car is a good find too, even in that condition.
Do they plan to restore it?
I think that car is still in a reasonable condition, I don't see rust, I would love to have that car in my garage!!
