“Let your life continuously unfold & evolve your thought process, awareness & perceptions so that you can enjoy deeper understanding of the universe, your trueself & your aspects of life. Let each moment serve you suffiently & remind you of who you really are, your abilities & your divine purpose. Let everyday & every moment your life be a journy from unconsciousness to higher consciousness. Let you remain committed to aristocracy, goodness, kindness, to be a non-judgemental personality & to be the best version of yourself. Let prime objective of your life be to positive influence & affect the energy & feelings of your world in every moment. Let you be so much more than what you think you are & gain more & more opportunities to tune your body, mind & spirit to sustain your existence & remain fulfilled. Let your each choice, resolve, deliberation & action bring forth the joy, peace, aliveness & success you so deeply long for. Stay Sincere, Open, Affirmative & Blessed!” ― Rajesh Goyal

When I was a little girl, like 7 or 8 years of age, my mom would take me every single Sunday, to a Jazz pup in a suburb about a 20 min drive from where we stayed at the time. It probably wasn't a particularly appropriate place for a child if I think about it from a parents perspective - but you know what... it did me no harm! Yes, there were plenty of old geezers downing too many beers and way too much cigarette smoke floating around, but you know what... I absolutely loved it!!! The music!!! Oh the music was amazing and I would dance and dance and dance! I actually recall being brave enough to get up on our table once haha - and of course being such a teeny tiny thing, I got cheered by all and if memory serves me correctly, I got a 20c tip from someone hahahahaha!!! - SHUT UP! - Keep it clean!

Things like that, which I had mostly forgotten about have been surfacing lately... I have been consumed by a slower pace. This is unfamiliar territory for me - I am normally a "go go go" kind of individual, but I have to say I have really been enjoying the new found pace. I am inspired by music and so, before I even get into this post, I would like to share a track that contributed to it... As my mom would always say... "listen to the words".

What would our lives be without the memories we collect. They make the moments special in the present and in the past - they give us things to be grateful for, they make us appreciate the beautiful people in our lives and most importantly they help us grow as individuals.

We easily forget such valuables. Getting caught up with the speed of the world, the demand and often the impatience of it all! This is a viscous circle - and one which I want no part of!

Memories are comprised of so many variants and it is not only the "big moments" that are important. More often than not, it is the little things... you know, the questions you answered for someone, picking up someones "whatever" which they dropped on the floor, giving a person the change they were short at a shop, or perhaps simply a wave to a passer by.

You just never know how your positive actions may impact another - and you are even less likely to be aware of how much good they are doing for you too! Life is not complicated - only we make it so!

Every second, of every day - we are living through moments and when you look at the bigger picture, you suddenly realise the value of your excitement, patience and gratitude for all of it in the "NOW"... but have you ever contemplated the impact of your actions on another?!

You know, those "few seconds" that someone asked of you, to which you gave impatience in return? Those are the moments I wish we would all address... (within reason obviously) - but for the most part - would it kill us to extend ourselves "just a little"?! I am saddened by how many would not even do this - I have to beg the question... "what if it were you?!"

We are all here - on the same fucking hamster wheel! The least we can do is help one another and heaven forbid, we meet some amazing people along the way, because we managed to open ourselves up and be receptive to the plight of others.

I recall vividly, the moments which others afforded me at many points in my life when I needed it. Many of them have no IDEA the level of impact they have had on my my life as a whole, but they have... and I will never forget those moments nor the people which gave them to me.

“Life is short.
Don't count the seconds.
Enjoy the moments.”
― David Cuschieri

We are made up of fragments and we walk through life playing with them like wild kaleidoscopes... I suppose for the most part, our intention should be to see the beauty of each and every fleck that dances alongside the sun.

Let us be motivated. Motivated to be better people. Let us help one another, instead of shun one another. Let us grow - together! Let us be inspired by our differences instead of considering them competition or rank related! When the shit hits the fan... which it will, I can promise you one thing - we will all be on level ground and all of the ,materialistic bullshit that we have all created will vapourise into nothingness! All we will be left with is the faces which we stare into... so best we get to know those people. They are all that ever mattered. We can all make imperfect memories together... and you know what, they will be perfect when you look back in ten years!!!!

“Finally, I have come to realise that an imperfect Life is actually the most perfect Life. I have come to see how Life is beautiful in all its colours, more so because the shades of grey bind them and paint them with even more radiance. A clear sky is always beautiful but what if we never have rain or storm? Sunshine is always wonderful but what if we never have the soothing dusk or the cold night to coil in our own misty self? Storms that come to jolt us often leave us with more courage as we sail along the gust to chase a silver lining. The scorching heat that chokes us often makes us wait more eagerly for that balm of rain. So is Life, in all those moments of sunset we have the hope of the following sunrise, and if we may wait and absorb all that crumbling ray of that sunset we would be able to paint our sunrise with even more crimson smile. Because just like a story, nothing in Life is really concrete without patience. We cannot skip pages of a book because each line contains just so much to seep in, and to have the story fully lived inside our heart and soul we have to keep reading until the very end to feel that sense of peaceful happiness, that always clutches us no matter how the ending is drafted. In the same manner, we have to keep walking through Life, as each and every step of ours leads us to the destination of our Life, the destination of peace, the destination of knowledge of self. The best part of this walk is that it is never a straight line, but is always filled with curves and turns, making us aware of our spirit, laughing loud at times while mourning deep at times. But that is what Life is all about, a bunch of imperfect moments to smile as perfect memories sailing through the potholes of Life, because a straight line even in the world of science means death, after all monotony of perfection is the most cold imperfection.
So as we walk through difficult times, may we realise that this sunset is not forever's and that the winter often makes us more aware of the spring. As we drive through a dark night, may we halt for a moment and watch for the stars, the smile of the very stars of gratitude and love that is always there even in the darkest sky of the gloomiest night. As we sail along the ship of Life, may we remember that the winds often guide us to our destination and the storms only come to make our voyage even more adventurous, while the rain clears the cloud so that we may gaze at the full glory of the sky above, with a perfect smile through a voyage of imperfect moments of forever's shine.
And so as we keep turning the pages of Life, may we remember to wear that Smile, through every leaf of Life, for Life is rooted in the blooming foliage of its imperfect perfection.”

In my family we often say that life is beautiful! I, who am more pessimistic, don't always believe this. It is beautiful because gives us access to a unique experience ... I don't know if everyone enjoys this experience and the chance, maybe they don't realize it or they have such a gray and hard life.

I've truly enjoyed reading your post, so many amazing memories and a lot of wise words shared! We tend to be caught up in the moment of life, whilst forgetting what memories are made of and what life is all about!

Thank you for sharing!

Most people don't realize the subtle impact they have on others with their carelessness, or that those impacts compact.

oh I prefer not even talk or think about life at all

Let us be motivated. Motivated to be better people. Let us help one another, instead of shun one another. Let us grow - together!

If half of humanity took those words seriously then we'd go far as a species.

The memories we have are what makes life beautiful... be it good or bad. It was a nice read. 💕

That's what I always say to Jamie when I'm trying to talk him into stuff - 'it's about creating memories' - I regret every moment I was too busy to stop and listen to my son when he was little, as now that is passed forever. I miss little Jarrah - he's a grown man now. I still treasure every moment we are together. You must be feeling that poignantly with your mother gone not so long from the Earth. Much love x

I found peace in my mind after reading the insult contain.where there is problm there is also a solve. But you have to be honest and sincere in finding this solution.Your honesty and actions will make you all great.Above all thank you so much for giving me such a wonderful writing gift

This is some beautiful reflection, @jaynie. Slowing down, finding a pace that seems real and sensible, is a good thing. Sometimes life just throws so much stuff at us, and the only way to find our way is to stop trying to outrun it.

I love that picture of your mom holding your dog. That is just a beautiful beautiful picture. As is the one of your son and the dog asleep.

Loved the sound track, and that poignant scene with they superhero suit. Amazing.

I like you're rambling, it sounds a bit like mine! Lol...mine's probably a bit more sweary though...🤐

And so do you like Blues music or did you enjoy it then because of those childhood moments or that memory?

Some beautiful memories here, for sure. They give and give. So important to take a moment to create and cherish them:)

Wonderful post, Jaynie:)
