Sharing Happiness...

Today I feel like I could use a little extra LOVE! I have not really been feeling myself all day (not entirely sure why) but I figured what better way to cheer myself up than by sharing in all the amazing things happening in your lives! Positivity is contagious - so infect me :) But, before you do... I will say that despite the way I have been feeling today, I do still have some happy news to share - I have not been tending to my garden the last couple of days as I have been super busy... but I walked out there just now and saw that I have loads of bell peppers popping up EVERYWHERE! I cannot WAIT to put them all to good use n the kitchen!

"Good news is rare these days, and every glittering ounce of it should be cherished and hoarded and worshipped and fondled like a priceless diamond." - Hunter S. Thompson

Let's SHARE some GOOD NEWS, GRATITUDE & HAPPINESS today!

Isn't it just sad how bad news will travel at the speed of light
and breed quicker than a virus on steroids,
yet each and every single day of our life we are offered more blessings
than we could even know what to do with,
yet you never see any of these hitting the headlines!

Regrettably, people have become conditioned
to feed off the things which destroy the soul the most….

It brought to mind an old Indian philosophy….
Which I thought I would share as a little food for thought for the day….
Some of you may be familiar with it already…

THE TALE OF TWO WOLVES

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between 2 "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Simple story - GREAT symbolism!

text15.png

So, on that basis,
how about we share some
GOOD NEWS, GRATITUDE & HAPPINESS
in the comments section of this post today
and actively engage in some of the AMAZING things happening in our lives
instead of the opposite ;)

Looking forward to sharing in your HAPPINESS - no matter WHAT it is!!!!

A true gem here. The title doesn't even express the wisdom in this post. I believe it is essential to have the right mindest in life, that it is the reason what we became. I will implement the instructions of Sarah Ban Breathnach at the end and try that one out. Thank you for sharing it. The story with the wolves I have heard ages ago, and I loved it. It is so true! Thank you for remembering me!

Thank you @tabea :) I am glad it resonated with you! and yes, I agree wholeheartedly!

I like your article.. Upvote..

Many thanks

You got it! Sending along a little love. You are right, life is grand! All it takes is a bit of gratitude and bell peppers are way up on the list of those things for which to be grateful! Blessings

Hehehe indeed they are! Thank you for being the first to put a smile on my dial @rmichaelglass

Thanks for sharing that story. I just wrote a post about a struggle I have inside so it's very ad-hoc. Problem is I forget to feed both wolves from time to time and overfeed them afterwards lol.

$trdo!

hahaha... binge wolves! :D Well, I suppose we each have our own ways :D Thank you too for stopping by @fenngen :)

It's always good to see positive, uplifting posts like this. I really got the good vibes just from reading these words.

It wasn't the best day for me as I got sick and even though I don't feel my best physically, I feel pretty good mentally. However, a little boost of positivity is always welcomed so thank you for sharing this post. :)

Overall, I would say that being grateful and counting my blessings, no matter how big or small they are, had a huge impact on me. No matter if it's writing it down or taking a moment to just feel it - it always makes me feel better and keeps me grounded. In my opinion, it is one of the keys to happiness.

I wish you a wonderful day! :)

And thank you too for the lovely response @nikolina. Sorry you have not been feeling well. I hope that today will offer some improvement for you!

Have a wonderful Wednesday xxx

hahaha brilliant! Thank you :)

Hey @jayne! I hope you are feeling better today! Noticing the little things is really important! Very exciting to have bell peppers appearing.

Still winter here in the Northern Hemisphere but we are starting to see wildflowers pop out of the ground as we walk the dogs!

I don't know if you have heard of Catherine Gray? She wrote a book called The Unexpected Joy of the Ordinary. We heard her talk on the radio the other week and on the basis of that, I've bought the book for my wife for her birthday (it's next monday so she hasn't had it yet!). https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/45415787-the-unexpected-joy-of-the-ordinary

Have a great Wednesday! :)

I am feeling much better today thank you honey! You should share some shots of the gorgeous wild flowers!!!

So very true, each day arrives we have choice, it will boil down to being either negative or positive.

Positive thought/reactions create much more happiness than walking under a burden of negativity.

I just caught up to this post. It really spoke to me. Only the people around me have gotten the story, but I’ve really struggled the last few weeks with that feeling you described - bedeviled by angst. It’s getting better! I have had bouts of this all my life, even though I am innately positive and optimistic. After my youth when it was at its worst, I found there are always things you can do, and there is always a rainbow on the other side. I take supplements, go walking, meditate, and focus on thankfulness. It gets me back to the rainbow! 🌈

I love the story of the wolves. That is going to help me immensely! Thank you for sharing it!

I'm glad to see you're feeling better today! The Tale of the Two Wolves always teaches such a great and valuable lesson. Lots of wisdom in there!

Nice to see you reinforcing this a bit ...

"... yet each and every single day of our life we are offered more blessings ..."

... as I am not sure it can be overstated or said too much @jaynie. It is far easier to grumble and complain, than conscientiously be grateful for what we so often take for granted.

I am thankful, after a long winter that has been colder than its ever been (global "warming!"), that it is almost over! 😉 Leading to our favorite time of the year - Spring!

Then, instead of writing about gardening in my posts, "tanning my face by the glow of my monitor," we can be outside in the sun "playing in the dirt!" 👍

"tanning my face by the glow of my monitor,"

hahahaha... that was an amusing visual :D

And yes - agreed... Spring is SUCH a beautiful time of year!
