Happy Easter!

Again :) Well, it's our Orthodox Easter now. So, easter eggs at you once more!

This was the first time we tried natural pigments. And we're happy it worked. Mostly...

I'll let @silver.art explain more about the exact recipes. I only know what went where. And it was...

Curcuma for Yellow

Hibiscus tea for Blue, actually herbal infusion.

And this was the more interesting part. Mixing of colors, of course. Hibiscus for the Blue hue in the Green after bathing in Curcuma for the Yellow base.

Red Beet for red...

red beet for red, I said...

Some onion peels, too...

Wait for it...

And we waited, and we waited. And we still do.

Curcuma is yellow,
Hibiscus is blue,
If you're waiting on the beet,
Then no red for you.

This time.

Anyway, I am happy we managed to paint what we managed with no magic pills used.

Well, we often tend to add "without chemistry" in our everyday speech.

But it's all chemistry around us. And physics. And other such things ;)

Even in Nature.

Manol

Happy Easter! I never tried using the natural pigments. Seems like it worked quite well for you, the eggs look lovely.

Thanks :) Everything but red worked fine. We used white-shelled eggs, though. I guess the normal kind be more difficult.

Very nice! Love the poem. I've tried this too. Happy Real Easter!

Thank you! You too :)
