I love the dead weight one the most, I think. There's something passive-aggressive about it. Although turning such a maneuver into muscle memory needs lots of practice. Real-life situations tend to be more complicated and difficult than said practice and still it works if it becomes second nature.

I completely agree with you. Real-life situations are more complicated and difficult. When any self defense technique becomes your second nature, you can do fast under pressure.
