A Crazy Day Of Rappelling

Hi Friends

When my daughter invited me to go rappelling, I thought it was a crazy idea. I had never practiced a high-risk sport, although my daughter assured me that it was not dangerous since it was with professional people, but I still felt suspicious.

She finally convinced me, so I decided to get out of my comfort zone and have a crazy adventure, but I only wanted to accompany her and see her doing rappel descent. At first I didn't want to participate, but after seeing her and her fellow Red Cross members do it without so much trouble I decided to dare.

On my first attempt she joined me, I confess that after they put all the equipment on me I was left on the edge of the bridge wondering if I should do that crazy thing and if I could hold on.

After the whole group gave me encouragement I decided to start the descent, I was nervous but I was also quite confident because of the previous practices.

My first descent I did almost sitting down and the guys helped me descend from the other side of the rope, it was a lot of fun! I didn't see it as dangerous and that gave me the courage to try again and again, when I felt more confident I tried it upside down like the professionals did. lol

I think this is the craziest thing I've ever done in my life and I think I would repeat it again, in this city where I'm living there are agencies that offer waterfall rappelling adventures and visits to a volcano, I've been thinking about going on that adventure, then I'll tell you if I do.

If you have lived a similar adventure tell me in the comment box I would love you to share your experience with me.

This is my entry for the Hive-Creative Contest, to participate in this contest you can check the guidelines in this post: https://peakd.com/hive-114105/@zord189/hive-creative-contest-or-that-yolo-thing-contest-details

Looks like you had so much fun!!!
As a rock climber, I know all about the feeling of being falling down so fast and yet feeling totally safe! 100% trust in the rope and the knot tying it hehe
I miss the days of climbing ...
But they'll be back soon enough ^^

Those good times will soon come, my friend. Have faith. We humans have always overcome pandemics. Just stay safe and take care of your health.😉

Fún all the way. Your smiles says it all 😁
