Someone dropped a kitten off in my area and it found it’s way to my house.
It’s sad and disappointing when people have so little regard for defenceless animals and discard them carelessly when they don’t want them. The little kitten seems too young to hunt for food and I wonder how long she went without anything to eat or drink I first noticed the kitten when she was trying to eat food thrown outside for the birds. Once. I saw her. I started to leave cat food outside.
The little calico cutie has been hanging around the back deck for the last week. She is tri-colored and those cats are normally female. .
I first thought Halloweenie would be a cute name with the black and orange of her fur until the peeping started. :) The third color is the white on her chest and paws.
Peeping cat lets out little cries for attention but she is still a bit afraid but will now let me pet her.
Here she is in black and white.
She feeds on the milk and cat food I leave outside for her. Peeping Cat will look through the window to see if my natural black and white fur colored cat, Sunday, is around.
Peeping cat gets up on the patio table to reach the window. She was great entertainment for some people I had in for an euchre card game. She kept popping up looking through the window. A few people in the neighborhood had these games recently and I had one on Wednesday with eight people.
My other cat, Red, does not like the Peeping cat and hissed at her but Sunday would love for the little peeper to come in and play.
I already have my two inside cats, Red and Sunday and don’t really need another one but calico cutie has already pulled on my heart strings. I will cage and take her to the vet before letting her inside. I worry, if she stays outside, a coyote or fox will get her or she will freeze to death when winter sets in. Luckily Peeping Cat has a fluffy fur coat.
Because the kitten is female, Peeping “Tom” is not a suitable name. If anyone has suggestions for a female peeping name I would love to see them in the comments.

She is an adorable fluffy little one Jo, I see @johannpiber is on similar thinking with the name "Lucky".
Once checked out by a vet she should be fine to try indoors with Red and Sunday. Perhaps "Luna" arriving around the time of full moon may be a name to give.

BEER.Luna or lucky is a good name for her, Joan. I think she has been hanging here since the full blue moon at Halloween. Hubby had mentioned around that time of seeing a cat around the back of the house. He didn't realize it was just a kitten until we saw it up close when it was checking out the bird food.
Aw, she's so pretty! People really suck.
My latest cat Peanut was also dropped off as a tiny, traumatised kitten and he was difficult for a few days but quickly improved as he learned to trust me. Catch her and start to tame her as soon as you can because too long outside will cement her mistrust of humans. Peanut trusts me totally and is very cuddly but unfortunately he doesn't feel that way about anybody else
You are right about taming her soon Nike. She trusts me now. I feed her and have petted her. She was looking at Hubby through the kitchen window this morning but is afraid of him.
That's good. Let hubby feed her too, that's the quickest way to build trust
Are you letting her in Jo? She is very cute and I could not not feed a little animal either.
Yes, I will let her in but in a cage until my other two get used to her.
I thought you would have a plan Jo. This little kitten knew where to go for a loving owner and home, animals have the best instincts. Blessings🙏

She's a real little beauty, Jo, and as said before, Red will become used of her. But of course, at first you should take her to the vet to make sure she doesn't infect Sunday and Red with any feline disease.
I have no idea how you could name her, but my sister called the little ill kitten baby "Lucky". She has found Lucky one winter on her balcony. The mother cat must have placed the baby there because it would not have lived long because of a disease which name I can't remember. She must have known that my sister would help the baby ... and Lucky is now about 5 years old, I believe :)

Cats seem to now who will help them. I'm glad you sister took in the ill kitten and it survived. She was ‘lucky.’
Yesterday I doctored up the kitten with flea drops to kill any fleas or flea eggs on it's fur and with worm medicine. I let it in to eat this morning in a cage and then let it back outside. My two cats ignored her.:) and were mad at me for paying attention to another cat.LOL. I plan to take her to vet next week.
She cleaned up her milk and food in no time.

Hopefully I am right and the three will become friends, and if not close friends, then they should at least respect each other :) We have a saying "Gut Ding braucht Weile" und Google translated it with "Good things come to those who wait".
Yesterday afternoon we have had the first sunshine in town after weeks of gray foggy days and it seems it stays that nice for a while 🔆

Well I have 3 cats now. I hope no more cute little strays show up. :) If I wasn’t going to keep the kitten I would take it to the humane society and hope someone adopts it.
The funny thing is, once the kitten came into the house, Red wasn’t bothered and seemed to like it but Sunday is really put out and will only hiss at it. Sunday didn’t mind playing with the kitten through the window pane but will have no part of it once it came inside. He is sulking in the bedroom now like a jealous child. I’m sure they will be good friends eventually.
I’m glad you had sunshine after the weeks of foggy days. Today was chilly but we’ve had some nice days lately.

I'm glad you keep her. The people in these facilities love animals, but a real home is always better than waiting in a cage for someone who is hopefully nice to cats.
Haha, Sunday has had fun playing with her knowing he is in the warm house and the other cat is just a visitor outside like the squirrels and the birds. Now she is inside and he has to share his place and private servant (you) with one more cat 😂
It has become very cold here too and the windshields of the cars are frozen in the mornings. During the daytime the sun is shining though, but the temperatures won't go more up than about 6 to 8 Celsius - Winter is coming ☃️

What a good gesture you have had in letting her stay in your house, people are very inconsiderate with animals, luckily there are still friendly and supportive people with animals. That is a good idea to take to a vet for control, without a doubt it is exposed to attack by being alone at night in the park. The little kitten is safe in my house now and was checked out at vet’s today.
3 cats were more than I need but i couldn’t let her stay outside alone.
