RE: Composting From Your Kitchen: Don't Chuck It in the Trash!

Great writeup @jayna. I personally don’t compost much for my small garden except in the spring start saving used coffee grinds and eggshells to grind together and put around outside plants.

PEI has a strict recycling program where we have a container for compost and one for waste. Papers and cardboards are put in a separate blue bag and another for bottles and cans. These containers are put out to the roadside and emptied weekly by the town workers. It’s a learning process getting it all figured out but well worth it to help the environment.

What a great program. They don’t have that in my town. Maybe someday!
